Disconnecting on Steam Deck | Steam Deck controller support
We've been trying to play this mod while on the Steam Deck and the main issue we are bumping into is that the session will disconnect every so often. Our main guess is that the Steam Deck's WiFi wavers for a second and it causes the session to be broken. We're almost certain this is the issue since there are reports of the Steam Deck's WiFi having issues, and the user's shared library "becomes available" for a second when this happens (like they've logged out and then back in right away). Apologies, but I don't have any logs for this. We have tried different fixes on the Deck, but it still happens.

Fixes tried:
- Change to 2.4Ghz wifi (instead of 5Ghz). It's supposed to be more reliable.
- Enable developer mode, then go to the new "developer" tab in steam settings and disable wifi power savings
- Connect to internet with Ethernet dongle (using the Dock)

Our latest attempt to fix this is that last item, using the Dock to connect to the internet via hard wire so we don't disconnect. This seemed to help, BUT since we're on the dock we need to use a controller to control the game through the TV. And a lot of the Mod rooms don't work with a controller. Issues we've experienced with a controller:
- Can't navigate Currier room.
- When selecting a card it sometimes only allows you to select from the top 2 rows of cards (typically just Strikes and Defends)
- When selecting cards sometimes it doesn't allow us to back out (the return button disappears)

I was surprised to see that we could select the co-op boss trinkets.

To get around these issues we disconnected the Deck from the Dock so that we could use the touch screen on the Deck as the mouse to navigate these menus.
This comes with the risk of the WiFi disconnecting while disconnected from the Dock.

I think out next venture would have to be to connect a mouse as a backup when this happens so at least we can work around this issue and not be exposed to the WiFi. (but at this point we're 2 work arounds down and it's becoming a lot to setup just to play this mod on the Deck)

So the biggest changes/fixes we'd love to see:
- Don't disconnect right away from a session if the WiFi goes out (have some sort of wait for 1 second to re-connect if possible. I've never seen the WiFi actually go out longer than a few milliseconds). This would allow us to play in handheld mode much more reliably.
- Update to include controller support for all Modded rooms (mainly Courier room) (Since I'm not sure how to re-produce the selecting card bug we ran into).

Hopefully the main dev sees this (I know it hasn't been updated since 2022). Or if someone knows if we can get our hands on the source code and update it ourselves that would be nice to see.

I'll see about posting this on the Dev's Discord and possibly GitHub bug report.
