Gloomhaven - TTS Enhanced v1.2
Unavailable cards being put into unselected row on unpack
Really loving the new mod! When porting over our game, I noticed the unavailable cards (meaning not chosen during level up or beyond your current level) are getting moved from next to the character sheet into the second line of the play area. The second line of the play area (just below your hand) is where the cards not selected for your current hand go.

Is this a small bug or am I not putting the unavailable card pile in the correct place to be detected as unavailable?

Thanks,
-Foam

This was the workaround I found: when you first make a character, the deck of upgrades is called "Advanced Abilities." As long as the cards that you didn't pick are still in that deck, they won't get dealt when you remake a character. If you no longer have that deck, what you can do is delete the upgrades you don't want. When you remake the character, those cards will respawn as a deck labelled "Advanced Abilities."

Advanced Abilities deck has to be named Advanced Abilities. Any ability cards that are not in your hand or not in your advanced ability deck will get put into second hand.
Ah, good info, Phosphora. These were imports from our previous game, so AFAIK that deck never existed. Or maybe it did but got deleted? I didn't do that actual port -- I just connected to the game after to exercise the results.

Roger, Dule. I'll see if we can make one and report back results -- prob tomorrow at earliest.

Just right click on your Advanced Abilities deck and manually name it again if it does not have the name. There is a really nice guide in the mod where which explains how to migrate. There is also video guide for campaign manager in steam description.

The deck will stop existing and lose its name if you ever spread out all the cards. If you put them together, it ends up being a new deck with no name.
Confirmed. If you make have a group/deck of cards named "Advanced Abilities", it keeps them separate at the bottom. Thanks for the quick response!

It might be nice to add something on the table that helps with this. Maybe something that when cards are dropped onto it, automatically creates the group/deck with the correct name. Or maybe just some text with a quick note? Or if neither of those make sense, maybe just pin a FAQ here and add this.

Instructions for others:

1) Select one or more cards and create a Group via the "g" button or right click -> Group
2) Right click on the group and move the mouse pointer to the gray "Name" field at the bottom of the menu and enter the name "Advanced Abilities".

The group/deck will be prefixed with the number of cards in the group (e.g. "12 Advanced Abilities") but the name you entered is what matters to the mod.

This step is also outlined on page 16 of the Gloomhaven Enhanced Guidebook.

It’s also in the migration guide video
