Gloomhaven - TTS Enhanced v1.2
3D model quality
While the use of the 3D models is a great addition. The quality of the models is a bit all over the place, and generally lack cohesion. If I read correctly these were just sourced from here and there, not custom made for the mod.

With the availability of (better) Gloomhaven related scenery on 3D printing sites like thingiverse, is there any reason you didn't use some of those? Most of them allow non commercial use and all that, so that would seem fine?

Are you open for assistance in that department? I have no experience with using 3D models in TTS (so it could be that stl files from thingyverse can't be used? Or maybe there is some other reason) but I do have experience as a 3D modeler, so perhaps I could create new models for some of the worst offenders :)

Thanks for the post! We are well aware of the variance in quality. When we first put the models together, we used what was available on the workshop. Luckily, we are now in contact with eXitus, who made the wonderful unlockable class minis, and are currently working with him to improve the models and make them more cohesive. We are always open to feedback if you'd like to put in specific requests for the worst offenders :)

Ah, that's even better news :) He did an excellent job on those models!

I opened a few of the bags yesterday, but I think the real eyesores that come to mind at the moment (and that are also frequently used) are the doors, stairs, and the spike trap :)
And I guess the tiny trunk of the tree used for the three hex tree obstacle really bothered me as well :D

He just created new door models for us, so you’ll get to see those in the next update! We’ll definitely put stairs and spike traps on the list to improve. Trees are trickier because we want ones that are proportionate height-wise but aren’t so obstructive so that they hide enemies, etc. Hopefully we can figure out something that is visually appealing while still being functional.

The actual reason the Thingiverse models aren't used is because there's a rather restrictive poly-limit for TTS (10k? or something akin to that). This is not an issue for 3D printing at all but makes a physics game like TTS just poop itself when tasked with that sort of calculation.

Yeah, that makes sense. Well I used to be a level designer/artist back in the lower poly days of videogaming :) I might be a bit rusty but I'll see what I can do.

Hey atom age thanks for your feedback i absolutely think the same way as you and try to implement all 3d models in a consistent way. As i plan modeling ALL 3D stuff in the mod there is a lot to do probably for the next 2 months and I would love to get some support. So if you think you could help me out with the same quality of models as already implemented please add me as friends and let's talk about it :) (or anyone else who read this and has fun modeling 3d stuff).

I look forward to seeing what you can do! How about starting with the Spellweaver. She looks ridiculous compared to the unlockables :)

At the moment im focusing on all 3d elements on the board, its a load of stuff. hopefully finish it in the next couple of weeks. After that, i absolutely agree with you - i will start with spellweaver ;)
