I followed all your steps correctly.

Once I loaded to the Rimworld main menu the debug popped up with 10

"could not load unity engine texture at terrain/surfaces/carpetfine in any active mod base resources"

and one

"[Betterloading] Exception occurred processing mod finalize events!"

Is that normal?
