Plans for future
Hey there!
Hopefully you do like the Wigglesticks as much as i do (please let me know!).

There are many things I'd like to implement or upgrade in the Wigglesticks mod but couldn't figure it out or had no time for them (since the mod took me around 3 weeks of learning and trial by error), but hopefully those things might come true in the future:

  • Visual particle effect for lifesteal aura tick[/b]
    As for now I completely don't know how to work with particles. Maybe (hopefully) it'll change in the near future because I think this is most needed feature for Wigglesticks mod at the moment. If anyone know how to implement them please contact me.

  • More settings so every player would be able to adapt it to his/her needs[/b]
    Since I am a player myself I do know how players appreciate possibility to adjust the mod to themselfs. I really want Wigglesticks mod to be customisable as much as possible and will be working on that.

  • Balance chnages
    Current numbers might be needing tweaks - it's really hard to tell if I only tested them out myself. It is a relatively easy thing to do so as quickly as I know it needs changes I can implement them in no time.

  • New crafting items
    While working on a mod i had numerous ideas for items or structures that Wigglesticks could utilize... from the Scarecrow structure thing that could possibly increase the speed of nerby corpses, up to item that would work with fear mechanic. Let me know if you have any ideas for Wigglesticks - maybe we can work something out together!

I wanted to work on the features that I knew I could do as a priority in order to make a 1.0 version of the mod first and to be able to share it with everyone!
Hopefully this list will shrink down with the passing time.

I had some ideas, how about making wigglestick bird follower that he can recruit birds and each can give different buff ,( one bird at a time)

Crows- curse enemy(slows down a bit)

Canary- electrify (10 damage or just on the sythe)

Redbird- gives a bit heat aura on winter
Snowbird- cooling aura on summer

Puffin- a bit wetness resistance ( or just make it give seed from time to time)

I really hope someone can help you on pets update though 😉

Gor the light amulet, i think it will be cool if it's a pocket lantern because fiddlesticks actually carries a mini lantern, maybe you can make him sticks some fireflies in it which won't die but fly away ( around 2 days ).

And pls make it default on him all the time🐢(need space for the badass amulet)

For the downside, maybe you can make him need to be serviced.

For spring (after)
- needs to change (grass x20) because humidity rots grass
(maybe make a debuff so he moves a bit slower when not serviced) and maybe a bit moss animation.🌿

For summer (after)
- need to change (living log x3) and refuel (nighmare fuel x5)
Cause all the heat and burning drains his magic fuel faster and dries his wood.
(maybe make it halve his hunger as a penalty cause sickly people eats less right).🐢

And maybe make his burn a bit less damage to (1.25-1.50) its hard when the fire hound dies🥀

I absolutelly love this idea! Tho it wouldn't be that easy to make - pets in general are really tough to work with.

My initial tought on it was to make player swap amulets when in need, hoping that it wouldn't make Wigglesticks too OP. That's something to consider for sure and probably wouldn't be that hard to code.

Now that's a really good idea and shouldn't be that hard to code. Probably the easiest of those you've shared so far :D
Altough I'd really like to make it visible I suck at arts (and working with DST atlas graphical stuff is terrible >.<) so I would have to find another way around - maybe character could prompt about it via text from time to time. Or maybe it would be possible to bring a new 'meter-like' icon to show his current needs. Definitelly something to consider with enough free time :)

If I didn't already I can easly add customization option for burn multiplier in the mod configuration panel. I promise to at least try to implement it soon (maybe in the next week).

Thank you for your ideas - I really like them and would love to bring them to life adding much more depth to the Wigglesticks. Can't make any promises right now about when (or if ever) those will be added but I will at least try to go for those easier ones.

It crossed my mind recently, can you add mosquito spawns around wigglestick when anything hurt by his life drain (of course it will neutral to him and follow him around) (20% spawn rate)

Or maybe recruit from marshland 🪴at dawn.

(maybe make it around x10 🦟mosquito)

I dunno if it's possible but, maybe make it help wigglestick attack targeted enemy.

Also can it have its cage for storing

and of course wigglestick need to feed it life animal to cage (like rabbit🐇)
Maybe 1-3 will suffice for a 3 days

otherwise the mosquito will attacks wigglestick for his abuse of they simply die and drop mosquito sac (20% for each)

I thought maybe it will be fitting for a blood sucker to help wigglestick when he attract them with blood from enemies demise 🐢🌿🦟

For the mosquito, they are weak so maybe you can upgrade them (5 level) using nightmare fuel (x2) for each one

Stat:

Level 1: 120 heart♥️
5 attack ⚔️
36 explode 💣

Level 2: 140 heart♥️
7 attack ⚔️
38 explode 💣

Level 3: 160 heart♥️
9 attack ⚔️
40 explode 💣

Level 4: 180 heart♥️
11 attack ⚔️
42 explode 💣

Level 5: 200 heart♥️
13 attack ⚔️
44 explode 💣

Maybe mosquito 🦟 that are not caged does not need to be fed ( caged want to kept🔋alive )🐢 cause they explode anyway

Or maybe you can make them poop out mosquito sac when full instead of exploding mechanic

If you choose let them explode pls make it follow upgrade:

Level 1:. 4 hits ( before explode)
Level 2: 5 hits
Level 3:. 6 hits
Level 4:. 7 hits
Level 5: 8 hits

And maybe make dead upgrade drop
(1-2) nightmare fuel👻

Feeding can be dead meat but not cooked now i think but last 1 day only.
In exchange (3 meat 🍖)need to fill the mosquitoes 🦟
