Potential Effects
An item like this strikes me as one that could have greater effects similar to the Pyroland series, or the Laurel with Romeo-vision

I was thinking along the lines of painting the printer would change the colors of the contruction prints, or maybe paint the sentry tools,

It could also serve as an action slot item

Just like the engineer has a mask that covers his face when hauling a building, this thing could do a simular thing.
I can imagine this thing actually printing a bleuprint when constructing an item.
It would have to fall to the ground and disapear to make it work, but it's still pretty awesome.
