Veteran's/Luxury diving suit: this high class diving suit is used by europa's most rich or important personal with its high class breathing technology you can turly breath the fresh air of earth while on europa.
clown diving suit crafting:
diving suit + 2 red paint + 1 white paint + clown mask
Make it craftable from basic dive suit, Alien Power Cell and three Fractal Machines
Fractal Machinery is lootable from Fractal Guardians (25%? 10%? 5%? Not sure what loot chance would be balanced) and found in Alien chests.
Because as it's now it seems it's just Alien Exo Suit with different look.
This would make it slightly more unique.
It rubs me the wrong way that you can simply use it out of the box.
That would imply that either aliens were human-sized humanoids or that they had humanoid servants that needed these suits.
Not sure how to solve it.
Maybe adding in suit description how extremely adjustable it is?
Hmmm, not sure, but it would be better than now, since it's strongly implied that aliens were not human like (either in size or in shape).
Alternatively Alien Exo Suit could start as unusable item (Alien Armor maybe?) found in Large alien chests and carried in hand (like coilgun ammo)
When entering Colony or Research Outpost and carrying Alien Armor event could be triggered with scientist noticing what you have in hands, approaching you and asking whether he/she could examine it.
If agreed then said scientist would reveal that it seems that this Alien Armor could be adjusted for human use. You can either agree or say that you are here to sell it.
If you agree then Alien Armor will be removed and Scientist will say that it will take a bit, but suit will be delivered to sub as you leave (like any bought item).
If you decide to sell it, then Scientist will simply buy it.
This is probably a bit more complex to implement than adjusting description, but seems more lore friendly and again would make acquiring such suit more interesting.
Alien Exo Suit seems to burn thru Oxygenite shard pretty quickly(1% every 8 seconds), maybe this might be a balance for the speed boost and stats the suit gets, but comparatively, the Fractal Diving Suit uses basically extremely low oxygen consumption(5% in 10 minutes), and only marginally lower stats. A buff to the Alien Exo and a nerf to the Fractal might be a good idea.
I would say the Alien Exo needs to consume considerably less Oxygenite, considering it is a pretty rare resource and can't be recharged like oxygen tanks.
But a minor/moderate nerf to Fractal would be fine, as it is kinda end game gear, but you shouldn't be able to wear it for 2 hours straight before having to think about changing tanks/taking it off for 2 minutes to recharge.
Fractal is down to 1% every 6 seconds, and Alien Exo is up to 1% every 17 seconds.
Comparatively vanilla Diving/Combat are 1%/8sec, and Abyssal is 1%/13sec.
Since Exo is a slightly more upgraded version of Fractal, it would be reasonable to consider that it would consume oxygen(ite) as a slightly slower rate than Fractal. Maybe something like 1%/30sec for Fractal, and 1%/45sec for Alien Exo.
I don't mean to come off as sound demanding, or something, and that, depending on your vision for this mod of yours, my suggestions are totally optional.
Update(Since I'd feel kinda bad having this sorta one sided convo spamming the Suggestions thread): Fractal: 1%/9sec, Exo: 1%/30sec
You'd tell me if I was being too demanding, right?
