EDIT: Oh never mind, i have found the file location :)
I've found it right here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\105600\2434616874\Content\Images
Once you get into the "Images" folder you can start deleting or replacing files with better ones, for example you can delete picture called "Title_0" in the "Images" folder, that means the game will then load the original Vanilla Texture for the dirt.
Im just working on texture pack where i'll keep only the good loking texture-files from "Jimmarn's Official Texture Pack" and "CalamityTexturePack", and then mix them both together
If it doesn't work for you, maybe try to go to "Program Files" instead of "Program File (x86)"
Also for some reason my Terraria game is stored as "105600" (you should have it called the same, but if not just try another random number file)
And then the texture pack from Jax norlmally called as "Jimmarn's Official Texture Pack" is also stored under this number: "2434616874" (again not sure if you have it called the same as i do, but if not, just try again another number file and you should find it)
If you'll get stuck somewhere, let me know and i'll help you if you want to
Thanks so much for your reply! Now I can have some good looking bosses without the stone looking like silt, much appreciated :)
