I don't think you need any pearlstone to make holy water. All you need to do is make a large enough biome with grass blocks (Like with the mushroom biome) and get some fairies / seeds from the dryad. Then logically speaking, pearlstone feels like it would convert normal stone more than grass.

I don't need pearlstone to make holy water, I need it for an underground Hallow biome. The hallowed grass isn't spreading The Hallow to the stone, and I can't for the life of me figure out why. And there's no way of obtaining Holy Water untill I beat Plantera

I've been having the same issue with my hallow/crimson/corruption not naturally spreading. outside of using vicious/vile powder, the only work around i found was to kill one of the mech bosses (I killed the destroyer with a daedalus stormbow that i got from an underground hallow garden (yes, hallowed grass seeds can make an underground hallow)), get the steampunker to spawn, move her to the hallow and buy a clentaminator and light blue solution. By no means the easiest solution, but the best I managed to find.

That's what I am working towards, but I have to buy so many Hallowed Grass Seeds cause the grass isn't spreading underground

I don't have evil biomes spread. No Crimsone, no Corruption, no Hollow biome!

If you are playing on a map version 1.5 or lower, you may have encountered this problem. This is a deliberate map mechanic, with biome propagation disabled. You have multiple exits:
- Use Thrown Powders
- Build up the underground layer of the map with a stone or earth on a long platform and defeat Wall of flesh. The evil biome will appear somewhere on this track
- Use Holy Water
- Use solutions for clentaminator

Yep, I've since figured it out, and I am now just struggling with figuring out the Golem. I don't have any Lihzard enemies spawning, at all, despite the fact that I've defeated Plantera (multiple times). Is there something that I have to do specifically to get the spawn?
Note: I have only opened the Corruption and Hallow chests so far, I've not gotten the keys for the other Biome Chests, so if it is something within those chests that I need, please let me know.

i just think the creator didnt add islands for those so yeah i dont know what happens i havent played it yet

Hvae you tried to create a biome on the surface and let it spread all the way down? Or perhaps adding stone up there could make it chamge to pearlstone and then you can mine and replace them underground.
