Next, for the asset creation, i also use the vanilla engineer uniform template as well as other sprite asset referenced in the code (like the item icon, item on ground sprite) and then made the asset for the waifus following those template.
I'd recommend starting out with just sketch and color blocking first before going into any detail as you will be doing some adjustment until the in game would look right.
and from there it's just a matter of fine tuning. feel free to use this mod as reference! it's quite simple and should be easy to understand what does what
Thank you so much for the reply! I've never modded anything before so your guidance is much appreciated! I'll see what I can do using your mod as reference. By the way, I love the character designs you've made for this one! Thanks for sharing ♥♥
Also, I am somewhat curious as to whether Kolina's Uniform offers the same kind of protection as security uniforms (commando's fatigues, etc). Although, if you used the base code of the security uniform for them (both the base uniform and the caped variant), I wager they still do, but could never find out for sure.
Lastly, I am looking forward to when the medic comes out, because we need POCKETS for medicine.
Thank you!
And yes, Kolina's uniform (both variant) has the base vanilla security uniform stat atm. I do have a plan to add better armor and variants to all character eventually but for now i want to focus on adding base characters first.
The medic would come after the upcoming mechanic character, so you could expect her sometimes soon :D
Okay, so I traveled a bit more and I can see the items now. It's a new save after the abyss update. I am not entirely sure whether it have something to do with how items are generated in shops during the campaign or I just missed it the first time around, but I am pretty sure I went into an outpost shop and searched for the items by name and they didn't show up.
Knowing that the uniforms still have the vanilla stats is quite helpful so I don't have to switch out each time I have to go exterminating nests. Thanks for clearing that up, and I am very happy to hear that medic's coming soon :3
Just to break molds~
