Bonfires are used to cook meat. Bonfires also give a small bonus to ALL food and drinks consumed near them. Your hunger and thirst increase slightly when you eat or drink near them. This makes a big difference, especially when compared to food once you find it.
Sleeping bag - The sleeping bag is used for long nights sleep, so you don't have to wander around the map at night.
Foldable Tent - Allows you to sleep anywhere without the need for nearby fire or shelter.
I have limited the spawn function in tents for now, as it does not work properly, requires rework.
BANDITS - Yes, there are people who are going to try and kill you, and you should really work on your situational awareness. This mod will test just that; if you know you aren't going to stand a chance against some bandits... run. It is your safest bet for surviving. Bandits are highly unpredictable and should NOT be taken lightly.
I have had countless occasions where I have killed some bandits and then all of a sudden I end up taking fire from a tree line just a couple hundred meters out, so I take cover. The funny thing is, the bandits that were shooting at me decided to storm the building I was in and look for me (which they WILL do).
I was fortunate enough to be hiding in a back room, was fully prone and was lucky to not get spotted. So my advice to you is to not get hasty with your engagements - plan them out before executing them.
RENEGADES- Unlike Bandits who roam in small or large groups, Renegades are extremely hostile lone wolves who never stay still....unless they have you in their sights
SURVIVORS- Not all lone wolves are hostile; there are also friendly Survivors who can be approached and recruited to help you in the Apocalypse.
How to identify them? I'm afraid to hit them with friendly fire.
2) I also realized that I always start the game in the far north. I stabilized in a nearby industrial zone. I had contact with a huge and heavily armed group. I just watched them and let them take their course. Nothing has happened since. I stayed there for hours and no patrols or anything happened around me. Was I lucky not to be surprised by anyone, or am I still in danger of being ambushed or found by someone there?
Cya.
So far, I'm trying to find the genre that I would like to see the mission, over time ideas change, new elements appear that I want to see in the mission. I have not yet decided 100% on the final goal, I have already come up with a plot, but I do not know how to implement all ideas so that it is interesting. I limited the mission spawn zone, did not begin to populate the map completely, because while the mission is being developed, I am doing it alone, it is not so easy, due to lack of time, but in the future the map will be 100% populated and missions will appear in completely unexpected places. Also, if the mission is absent in other parts of the map, this does not mean that there are no units there, they also appear there.
I still haven't found a merchant wandering around. Am I doing something wrong?
Another question: is there any way to increase the volume of AI steps?
An enemy tracked me through the forest and I couldn't hear him approaching.
1. Traders are very rare.
2. I cannot increase the volume of walking sounds, this is the game engine, maybe there are some mods !?
