how to get rid of lag?

I can barely play this map because of the lag. Is there any way to get rid of all the npcs? That might be the problem.

Typing

ent_remove_all npc_combine_s

into the console will remove every Combine soldier
Same applies to the rebels and antlions if you replace 'npc_combine_s' with npc_citizen & npc_antlion respectively, although those will respawn if you haven't pressed the "Disable map scripting" button in the spawn bunker.
