Statts resetting when imprinting dino.

I am playing singleplayer and noticed, as soon as I imprint a dino or even use a instant 100% imprint/grow up potion - the statts reset to vanilla. Is it normal or even a common known bug?

It is normal, soulball/cryopot the dino

Thanks for your answer. :) However, soulballing the dinos doesn't change anything, they stay low vanilla statts. I guess I just don't imprint dinos anymore then, problem solved.
Edit: Never mind, it works when you only use the cryo/soulball with hand, not with the soulball gun. ♥ thanks for your help. :)
