Unable to start taming

Traq'ed a raptor and opened the inventory, placed meat but it just keeps saying to place meat in its inventory. Disable taming is off and has always been off. suggestions?

Meat is no viable taming food in ark omega( same with berries)
ALL dinos (except Phoenix, the bird) need kibble, the mods kibble
So a "beta collective raptor" as example need "beta guardian kibble"

Best use awesome spyglass to see what kibble is needed directly
