Prime player rank

Have cleared all except the 2 utility.
I spawn them, but it says it can only be damaged by utility variant.
Sit on a taming ptera, kill it and it does not tick for my player quest.
How do I progress?

By killing it on foot, like for all player rank kill progress
And for what to use: utility weapons

Every group has a early game, mid game and a late game weapon

I would advise to use the midgame utility one (shotgun) and not the early (netgun)
