what you have going on in ragnarok with the spawns is weird, i think ragnarok is one of the best maps to use the mod, since i always find dragons there (not to mention the other critters from the mod) so this should be a bug or maybe another mod causing trouble with the spawns. but you are going to take a lot of time just to find that out by yourself if you have other mods.
i suggest you use the simplespawners mod or keep spawning them in. (by the way, most dragons can reach level 180-190, its a bit easy to know; look for anything that looks or behaves like the dragon boss from the island or anything that has wyvern features).
i suggest using the dino finder mod for this, as you are going to explore for hours and hours looking for what might be a level 100 jabberwock. that and mix it with the "destroywilddinos" command, if you feel like not cheating that much to get the creatures.
for the jabberwock, i really can't remember what it eats, but to even get to that point, you need to kill one and use the item it drops to camouflage yourself from a new one, and then you can start feeding that new one (passive tame). i'm really sure this dragon eats element, but as with all dragons, you might try using raw mutton or for this one, rotten meat.
i really suggest you to use the awesome spyglass mod, at least without the "creature outlines" options, because it tells you what a creature eats by aiming at it, and also if it is a passive tame or a knockout tame. this is because there are some creatures that eat very specific things and others that you can tame via knockout and passive tame (if it shows the torpor bar, and says "passive tame" then you should try the knockout method first).
also, the author of the mod is a bit weird with the discussions from mods (a bit lazy) and doesn't update the discussions on his mods frequently.
black dragons and mira can also eat gacha crystals, element dust and i think they also eat element shards (you can get element dust by harversting enforcing drakes from this mod and tek creatures from vanilla ark). they also eat sulphur, but you can't really feed them sulphur because you can't put that in your hotbar and they are passive tames only.
i hope this helps you somehow, because with my bad english, bad writing and bad memory i can't do too much.
I did Finally just download super spyglass so I don't need to spend time looking up their diet anymore lol. I found a 170 fatalos early on and there was actually a youtube video about taming it and it seems just regular crystal is either the best or just good, do you mean regular crystal instead of gacha? I spawned a Mira in and tried gacha crystals like you said they eat but it doesn't eat it.
Also, can I solo an arch tempered boss with my fatalos? I found a hellraiser and wanted to tame it but the discussion said I need a drop from a boss to tame one despite the spyglass mod saying I can just mutton tame it, do I really have to fight a boss to tame a hellraiser? Kind of dumb considering taming a fatalos is easier.
to tame a hellraiser you need to tranq the dragon and then force feed the purple power stone the arch tempered bosses drop, and then you can feed raw mutton to the dragon. to trap the dragon.. a common wyvern trap in a bigger scale with thin spaces to let a human or a parasaur go trough, an harpy or a worm might be good options to lure the dragon into the trap, or maybe drain it's stamina with a kapro? i usually tank the creatures to tame them, so i would recommend the fatalos if you can shoot while riding it. the fatalos should be immune to fire.
you should be able to solo the arch-tempered bosses with fatalos, but watch out for some area attacks and prepare beds or something like that, because bosses on this mod have a tendency to kill riders from their mounts. also, level up your fatalos a lot.
maybe i was wrong with the gacha crystals for taming mira and confused the mira taming method with black dragon's. it should be one of the best options for taming black dragons because of taming %, but if normal crystals work, then use those.
i'm really sorry about the spawning issue, i really don't know what is causing that issue, maybe that specific mod is causing that issue, because some mods do that. maybe try playing without other dino mods and go explore the map for a bit and see if it works. the "normal thing" is to find at least one black dragon and uncommonly, things like wyvern-like creatures or ground creatures from the mod, like i said, they are rare and finding a powerful creature from this mod might take you days of searching (i did).
Hello! Do you by any chance have any knowledge on how the taming of a pesutobeara works?? The description for it says that like fatalos it will agro the player and become untamable if approached but then I am also supposed to passively tame it?? How am I suppose to feed it without getting close and earning agro. Doesn't make much sense, if u can drop some tips on fatalos it's appreciated too
for any black dragon, try getting close to the more "external" body parts of the creature. fatalos, and alarion, for example, can be fed if you interact with the wings, instead of getting close to the legs. pesutobeara can be fed if you interact with the tail, so you don't get close enough to aggro.
just try to get as far from the center of the creature's body as possible. try interacting with the extreme of their wings or tails. don't get close to any part on the front of the creature. like the arms or frontal legs. stay behind or by the sides, crouching and running away if it faces you.
