Tips & Tricks
I will be adding Step by Step instructions for some of the frequently asked questions as I have time.

How to make Beer!

  • Place a Recipe Page (crafted in your pocket or in the Recipe Book) into the Brewing Barrel
  • Click make recipe and choose one of the icons on the left side (beer bottle or mug I believe)
  • Add your custom ingredients (Do NOT add malt or hops here)
  • Do your description and name the brew, then click Make Recipe again
  • Now if you check your created recipe, you will see it adds the Hops and Malt Extract for you
  • Place all the ingredients in the brew barrel with the newly created recipe and sit back while it brews
  • Sit back and enjoy a cold one!

Baby Brew for Beginners

First things first, let's get our list of ingredients!

  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Fresh Water
  • 2 Maple Syrup
  • 2 Milk
  • 1 Vegetable Oil

  1. For eggs, you're going to need an RPC Chicken Coop crafted in the RPC Garden Bench. Which egg layers you can use will vary depending on your settings. The default layers are the Dodos. Just tame yourself a couple dodos (or chickens or whatever is being used for your egg layers) and place them near or in the coop. Over time, you will notice the coop's inventory will start to fill with eggs.

  2. Fresh water can be obtained from one of two sources-- an RPC Sink or Water Filter crafted in the RPC Kitchen Counter.
Bring up the wheel while looking at either, and press the "Filter Water" and release. For 60 seconds, it will filter water for you, 100 at a time. Rinse and repeat!

  3. Maple Syrup comes from our Maple Trees, crafted in the PRC Garden Bench. Place the tree and over time you will notice it filling with syrup.

  4. Milk is obtained from the Milking Station, crafted in the RPC Garden Bench. Place the station with up to three milk giving creatures. The default is megaloceros, but just like the chicken coop, you could be using a cow or a goat. It all depends on your settings. Once again, give it time, and you will notice your milk station filling with milk.

  5. Cooking oil is made in the RPC Oil Press, which is crafted in the RPC Kitchen Counter. There are a variety of options available for oil including coconuts, avocados, peanuts, sunflower seeds, and more. Craft your choice of tree and/or bush, or plant some peanuts. Place your crop into the oil press and let it do the work.

  6. Now that you have all of your ingredients, you're going to need an RPC Cooking Pot. Place the cooking pot where you wish, no more need for a water intake. Open the cooking pot, place your ingredients, and craft your baby brew.

Congrats! Your babies will now love you!

...was wondering, is there any "nutritional value" system? Interesting effects for custom foods, maybe buffs you get from different foods and whatnot?

--- As far as nutritional system, the cooking mechanic is essentially the same as vanilla Ark, just with a lot more ingredients and icons to play with. Basically, the more you refine the ingredients, ie if it can be sliced or washed or cooked do that before using it in a recipe, the better the stats will be on your final recipe. Crafting skill will improve the stats of your recipe as well.

As for effects, some of the pre-made recipes that are cooked in the stove or brewed in the kettle do have effects. Some are obvious like the hot cocoa keeps you warm and the iced tea keeps you cool. The pre-made tea and coffees do not quench your thirst very much, but they will remove the stamina drain from drinking alcohol. The deserts will give you a quick little burst of speed but beware the stamina drain when that sugar rush wears off. And last but not least, the Trail Mix will give you a boost to your XP, much like an explorer note in vanilla Ark.

There are a couple treats for the animals as well. Kismet Kakes are the same as a regular veggie cake, and the Baxter Bites behave the same only for carnivores. The Baby Brew will give a newly born or hatched critter a 100% Imprint bonus.
