Making this a Disc post as comments can get lost. Anyone else posting bugs please post just relevant info [and remember you may have a mod/playlist conflict rather than it being an issue with this mod itself].

1. There does seem to be an issue with ship size. I don't run DS ships on anything but the Galleon is massive even compared to vanilla Titans and such.

2. Spaceports made during Khan events are missing.

3. No death animations it seems. When ships die they just vanish atm.

4. Someone recently mentioned 3.0.3 beta fixes the turret issue so that should be resolved soon.

1. The ship was scaled to match the vanilla galleon, which itself is massive (classified as a guardian ship). The fact that it is tall also makes its appear even larger. Sadly its not as simple as scaling them down due to how turrets work in stellaris, but if you find a good scale value I might just use that.

2. I'll investigate once I have time (I think its just some madd_01s where there should be pirate_01s in events). if you could be more specific i'd appreciate it as well.

3. I know about this issue on the cruisers and galleon. For some reason the frame is unhappy with the new meshes, unlike the corvette and destroyer.

4. We'll see how they deal with it and what I might be able to do.

There are some problems with size for ships other than the galleon, cruisers and destroyers tend to be so large they overlap with each other, at least in my games, leaving marauder fleets looking like a continuous block of ships. Its a shame, because aside from the weird sizes these ships look incredible.

same problem here , ships are way too big , a cruiser has the size of a juggernaut and cruisers are as big as titans

When I have this mod installed and I try to contact the marauders, I just get a marauder first contact message w/ the name of the marauders just being ".", and I'm unable to actually contact any of the marauders to hire fleets or leaders. I've confirmed that this mod is the one actually causing the change and not any other mods.

The mod overwrites the whole marauder file with a 2.8 version. What do you expect? :P
You can try the Realistic Pirates mod 3.6 below, which has limited compat.

Yeah bro the very first line of the desc to this mod is it wasn't maintained in almost 2 years - i'm not surprised its broken. I was surprised I was still subbed to this thread.

You can probably make it work by deleting that and renaming some gfx files, but then normal pirates will use the models too. I didn't know of another way to make the marauders alone spawn with this gfxculture and their starting ships to be of it as well. AFAIK no ones taken up this mod so thats that for now.
