That is odd indeed and I don't know what's causing it. Are you still having this issue?

so... yes on some computers, no on others. On this particular laptop, yes. On my desktop, no. On some of my work laptops, yes, but on others no. For the modloader in general, I deleted the game off my system, etc, etc, following all the instructions (if getting rid of the game first doesn't sound right, I did whatever the instructions on the mod-loader portal said to do). I applied the same processes for all the systems, and I'm still having different results. Please advise?
