[Help] Error: 41 or 44 | Unsupported file format or the codec is not available/supported
You are trying to play something that the streaming API of GMod (and so the radio) does not support.

These things will NOT work:
- HTML pages that play sound.
- Flash players/games/applications that are playing sound.
- Videos
- Anything that requires any kind of login to access.
- Anything that is not public.
- Sound scripts or sound properties.
- Broken files or unsupported formats. (See below.)

These things will work:
- URLs to sound files (aka. DIRECT download).
- URLs to playlist files of radio stations. If they do not offer them, you will be not able to play them.
- URLs inside these playlists files.
- Local sound files inside your "<path to game>/garrysmod/sound/" folder. Examble: "music/hl1_song10.mp3"
- You may have to install addional codices to your OS.
- Formats listed below.

Supported formats:
MP3, OGG, AAC, WAV, WMA, FLAC
*.WAV files must be not self-looping in game as the API does not support these.[github.com]

I tried using Dropbox, I made an MP3 file, my friend has used Dropbox before and it's worked, so I got the MP3 file, pasted the URL and it said it was unsupported?

Check if the file is still valid with your internet browser. Maybe Dropbox took it down because of too much traffic. If a Dropbox link is not valid, it will lead to an HTML error page. The radio tries to play it, which it can't of course.

How do you solve the error 41? I tried playing the MX-Radio and its giving me that error!
Grocel  [developer] 16 Jan, 2016 @ 4:23pm
The URLs from the MX-Radio are outdated/broken and are not fulfilling the conditions as written above. These limits are mostly set by the API the MX-Radio also uses to play music. Ask the maker of MX-Radio to update them or change them yourself localy on your server or on your single player game.

Actually there were one or two stations working last time I checked.

To change these URLs you can use the playlist editor of MX-Radio or of this radio addon.

These files are playlist files not music files, please don't put music files in the data folder. Please also check the FAQ first.

Error 41 but i use mp3 file format on dropbox, all files actualy i downloaded their right now but not work!
Grocel  [developer] 12 May, 2018 @ 10:12am
You can not use dropbox anymore as they don't allow hot linking. For every file you want to download you are redirected to a download page, which is HTML and so not playable by the radio as said above...

This can't be fixed by this addon.
