I wanted to thank you for the great work you've done on the map. My friend and I are planning to set up a small survival roleplay server, and your map has really caught our attention. We've started testing it to see if it would suit our needs.
During our testing, we came across a few bugs, mostly the ones mentioned in the discussion. We’d like to reach out with a proposal—if you’re interested and don’t mind, we could regularly provide you with feedback during the operation of our server, including reporting any additional bugs we might encounter.
We believe this could be beneficial for further improving the map. Please let us know if you’d be interested in this.
Thanks, and we look forward to hearing from you!
Best regards,
Charlotte
Of course, if you want to consistently let me know of any bugs/issues, just shoot me a friend request and i can send you my discord.
I hope you’re doing well! As we discussed, I’ve been testing the map, and I wanted to report some issues I’ve encountered so far:
1. One-Way Walls in Metro Below St. Petersburg
Description: There are a few one-way walls in the metro area below the location St. Petersburg. These walls allow players to see or move through them from one side, but not the other. I've attached some screenshots for reference.
Steps to Reproduce:
Navigate to the metro below St. Petersburg.
Approach the walls from different angles.
Observe how the walls behave differently depending on which side you are on.
Expected Result: The walls should be solid and behave consistently from both sides.
Actual Result: Players can pass through or see through these walls from one side only.
2. Non-Solid Floors for Zombies
Description: Across the whole map, there are many floors that are solid for players but not for zombies. When zombies walk over these areas, they fall through the floors and get stuck inside walls, making them unable to interact with players.
Steps to Reproduce:
Lead zombies to various buildings or areas on the map.
Observe their movement as they traverse floors that are solid for players.
Notice that zombies often fall through these floors and become trapped inside walls.
Expected Result: Floors should be solid for both players and zombies, preventing zombies from falling through and getting stuck.
Actual Result: Zombies fall through certain floors and become trapped inside walls, unable to function properly.
3. Balancing Issues in Vorkuta Haven Safezone
Description: The NPC location and safezone named Vorkuta Haven has some balance issues due to low prices on items. For example, brick material, which is the toughest material in the game, is priced at only 6 XP. Additionally, the makeshift LMG is overpowered because a 100-round magazine only costs 15 scraps in total. This weapon can raid like a Dragonfang, and it has a range of 300 meters, which is the highest among vanilla weapons.
Steps to Reproduce:
Visit Vorkuta Haven and interact with the NPCs.
Check the pricing of items, especially the brick material and makeshift LMG.
Compare the makeshift LMG's performance with other weapons in terms of raiding and range.
Expected Result: Items, especially high-tier ones like brick material and the makeshift LMG, should have prices that reflect their value and power.
Actual Result: The current pricing makes these powerful items too easily accessible, leading to potential balance issues in gameplay.
4. Exploit in Sewers Under Moscow
Description: In the sewers under Moscow, there’s an exploit where players can teleport onto a bed through the bars and then go under the map, potentially griefing other players. This area should be made non-placeable for blocks, beds, and other items to prevent this exploit.
Steps to Reproduce:
Go to the sewers under Moscow.
Place a bed near the bars and attempt to teleport to it.
Observe that you can glitch through the bars and potentially go under the map.
Expected Result: Players should not be able to place beds or other items in this area to prevent the exploit.
Actual Result: Players can place beds and use them to glitch under the map, leading to potential griefing.
5. Hole Under the Map Near Zavod Location
Description: There is a well-known hole under the map near the Zavod location, specifically between the rail tracks. This hole allows players to fall through the map, leading to unintended gameplay issues.
Steps to Reproduce:
Go to the area near the Zavod location between the rail tracks.
Walk over the area and notice that there is a hole where players can fall through the map.
Expected Result: The area should be solid and prevent players from falling through the map.
Actual Result: Players can fall through the hole under the map, leading to potential exploits or getting stuck.
Let me know if you need any more details or if you’d like me to test anything else. I’m happy to help
