Game-breaking crash
Somehow the ai, maybe through a focus or some other way is causing the game to instantly crash. If I disable the ai the game runs just fine but if when I enable it again it crashes immediately.

I cant really figure out anything defining, the error logs and the other logs are filled with errors, illegal conditions etc but Im sure youre aware of that. Im gonna save the logs in case you ask for em and im gonna try to clear everything and reinstall the mod and see if that does anything. FYI, the game crashes a bit in to the game but before the of the war.
Im playing the republic and has not yet gone down the assasination focuses and the CIS are almost done with theirs.

In the error.log file I found some reports on "Undefined GUI_TYPE: market_man_container - This will most likely crash the game" for example im gonna paste an example of this below.

Im gonna do a clean sweep of my hoi4 and my installed mods and try n reinstall the mod again see if that does anything. Im only using the palpatines gamble mod + the music one and also "Player-led peace conferences", for the record, I also tried while have the peace mod disabled and it still crashed.

Just tried again with the clean reinstall, still crashes. Seems that the last reports before crash were variants of "[23:57:03][triggerimplementation.cpp:2970]: common/technologies/1_industry.txt:2087: has_tech: Invalid tech
[23:57:03][triggerimplementation.cpp:12217]: common/technologies/1_industry.txt:2092: is_researching_technology: Invalid tech"

Im gonna try tomorrow without the historical focuses checked but dont really think that will change anything.

According to my observations, the game crashes after the end of the war between the Quarrens and Dаck.

Might be the case, was gonna check up on that too. Might explain why there are so many errors regarding tech and what not before the game crashes.

It does indeed crash after the war but it doesnt crash immediately, at least not for me. It might still be related however my game has progressed a quite a bit after the dac-quarren war.

I just tried running a game without historical focuses and it works like a charm...mostly, no crashes at least.

Tldr: Dont start a game with "Historical focuses" checked.

I also started the game without the historical AI focus, but it still gave an error of 977, a year before the start of the clone war.

What kind of error and do you run any other mods other than the star wars + music mods?

Btw, if it is a similar problem to mine it should not crash if you load the game and disable the ai (type "ai" in the command window). If you then reenable the ai after youve confirmed the game doesnt crash (let it run for a few days or whatevs) then it should still crash.

If you cant get it to work you know the drill. Delete hoi4 folder from documents, delete the mods and reinstall em (unsub and resub) and hope that it fixes it. But who knows, maybe you need to have historical on :P

Thanks for the report, we have limited it down to the AI as well and are constantly working on a fix.

Dont worry man, its a bit annoying agreed but the mod is still in alpha. Cant expect the world from it at the moment. Im content as long as you work on it.

Btw, I dont know what you have planed for the navy but you could take a look at the realistic navy mod or whatever its called for some ideas. That mod fleshes out the ship designer alot, the vanilla one is quite barebones in my opinion.

The game crashed again today in the same fashion, I think I just got lucky and whatever the ai is up to it just did later in this run :P

Gonna go about and deleting/annexing the different nations later and see if I cant narrow it down somewhat.

Ive narrowed it down to Onderon (tag:d03) they are doing something to crash the game. It works to avoid crash by either annexing them or spawning a civil war and annex them through that.

Gonna start a new historical game and see if it crashes where it did before and again try to annex Onderon and see if that fixes it.

It did not work, now its Fresia whos responsible. Can still solve it by replacing them, either by civilwar + annex or simply annexing them myself. It still crashes if I take direct control over them so....yeah.
The errors i see in the error.log doesnt seem to have anything to do with it since they pop up now and again anyway but who knows, maybe its a cummulative error process and eventually the next guilty ai causes the next crash. Only to be fixed by deleting that ai/tag and clearing the errors associated with it, if thats even a thing (im no dedicated programmer)

Maybe fixing the undefined gui type with for example "market_man_container" will fix it or the invalid tech in "1_industry", i have no idea what so ever about the accuracy of those suggestions though.

Could also pray to the Omnissiah, wouldnt hurt at this point :P

P.S. Gonna continue on this save and see if it happens again but im fairly certain it will.
P.S.S. It did indeed crash later on.
P.S.S.S. Im gonna try to annex all worlds so that its only 2 nations left, Rep and CIS. See how long it takes for CIS to crash IF it does. So far only minor nations have caused crashes, aka no interesting nations (when you start new game) have caused the crash so far. This might disprove that theory though.
