If you haven't figured it out already, they expire after a specific duration that is dependent on whether they are supplied or are part of a base that is supplied

Need an immediate fix for engineers to be able to remove built structures. This expire crap is just a cheap out.

In case someone has this question in the future:
With Zeus Enhanced right click near the item you want to remove and click Add Editable Items and then select the 10m radius and that should give you the Yellow Empty Icon for you to reposition or delete.
