when spawning anything else, though? they work just fine!—but if i spawn exotic systems, they just default to the previous normal system that was made, and nothing happens. i even click the go to event button and it just drags the camera to the previous normal system. no pulsar/BH/neutron star there.
I wanted to touch base just to let you know I saw this and tried to replicate it but I haven't been successful in doing so thus far. It's really puzzling, to say the least. I used a relatively heavy mod load (Gigas, ACOT, NSC2 and a pile of additional tech and other stuff) with HM near the top of the list just to really try and break it, but of course it could be a matter of other variables.
Did you attempt this with Dowser, Bore, or both? Around what game year and map size? Was everything from this mod researched or only part of it? It shouldn't be possible, but did you happen to get more than one of these structures running at a time? I'm just trying to think if there's anything I could be missing here, given what this mod does script-wise is extremely straightforward.
oh thank god you responded
i did both bore and dowser, and neither seems to want to generate exotic systems; i've yet to move it to the top to see if that does anything, so after i post this, i'll do so. if that doesn't work, i'll look in error logs
everything in the mod had since been researched, and i only remembered i even had the option a few dozen years later in-game, so the first thing i did was try to attract a black hole, which made me notice the issue.
