So I've installed and re-installed the mod and whenever I try to start the single player campaign it comes up with an error message saying various files and effects weren't found or couldn't load and the game hard crashes. Any suggestions of how to fix?

Load up Multiplayer, wait a few seconds, back out, then you can load Campaign. I'm unsure why this is the fix, but it should work for you too. :MillaThink:
