STATS
First of all, imo this is a secondary weapon for heavy. It can work like a level 1 dispencer only giving ammo for heavy and nearby teammates. The bad thing is that heavy can only carry 100 ammo on his primary, although it is refilled constantly.

Let me know your stat ideas for this weapon if you consider this thing as a weapon.

125 instead of 200 primary ammo

slower walkspeed (-5%)

The walkspeed penalty can't be there, no one would use the heavy if he was even SLOWER. The other 2 penalties are good enough, and the fact that you won't have a shotgun. If you really want another penalty, why not make it so it has a limited amount of ammo it can dispence? But you can refill it with ammo pack, engies, and resupply lockers.

These sound pretty good to me, but i would change the walkspeed penalty to -10 or -15.
Also a mechanic where you could drop ammo packs in a similar way as sandviches would be pretty cool. It's like the Battallion's Backup for Hooby, you switch offensive secondary to defensive one.

EDIT: After seeing Sting's comment i changed my mind about the higher walkspeed penalty.

good idea its a refilable ammo pack i think it should be able to be put on ground and be able to put it back on incase of engies need metal it should only hold about 3 large ammo packs at a time if it or the wearer goes near a dispener it will be refiled for the cost of some metal in the dispenser (like 50 metal for 1 full ammo pack) if the wearer puts it down it has 100 health and is destroyable spys can sap it aswell (idk how it would work with the red tape recorder) if a spy saps it only a engie or pybro or the heavy that weilds it can take it off also this thing acts like a razorback a sheild from one backstab if it is destroyed (not by backstab from spy) the heavy can regen it back if it is backstabed it can only be back if u visit a resuply cabnet
also it can be used in secondary slot and be held out to place it should also be able to let the heavy using it and people around it be healed (at half the speed of a lvl 1 dispenser) also the speed of healing and speed and size of ammo it gives out should be an upgrade im mvm also the regeneration speed should be upgradeable also if it is on heavys back it can be sapped aswell still thinking on more ideas pls comment if u like it

Engineer builds a Dispenser ... and in like 2 sec he can get full metal from a heavy. In Seconds a level 3 Sentry nest. Would be too OP

Perhaps, this could just do "+200 primary weapon ammo."
That would be a decent advantage, allowing the Heavy to shoot for a much longer ammount of time, and the negative to balance it out would simply be the lack of the secondary item.

I think it's probably a weapon. It's impossible to wear the whole set without one of the items being a weapon and this one looks the closest to being a weapon.

The problem with adding that many downsides to it is the sandvich would still be superior.

+6 ammo per second
It has a knockback rage meter that builds up by doing damage. When full, the Heavy can activate the rage like in MvM to give his bullets increased knockback.

It's simple, but it has utility and it also makes the Huo-Long Heater more viable on non-payload maps.

Hmm, if you want it to function like a lv1 dispenser then won't it need to deplete every now and then like a real one? If so, shouldn't you have some kind of animated part on the pack to show it is depleted (like the 'petrol gauge' thing on the dispenser)?
