TechTiers
Origin Unlocked Techs - White Border
Hoi Stefü, merci vielmal

An idea for a small refinement to your mod concept.

Origin unlocked techs would be usefully differentiated to help new players understand why they have (sometimes) high tier techs unlocked at the start of the game. Secondly saying if they count towards the total needed to unlock more advanced tech in the mod notes would answer the obvious next question a player has.

I am sure it's possible to trigger at game start as Automatic Repeatables Mod welcomes you & reminds you it'll stay dormant until repeatables are encountered.

But it may be a PITA to implement, if not then it'd add completeness for those tracking their bee-line efficiency later on, or simply the curious.

I too had a similar suggestion to expand on this mod concept back in August

"
A second inner frame representing 3 values, represented by 2 colors like grey and white and the missing of an inner frame being the thrid representation. These would stand for
- objectivly good techs under all circumstances f.e. colored white
- objectivly bad techs under all circumstances f.e. represented as grey and
- the missing of an inner frame where a tech may have situational value.

By one definition 'Objectivly' could include any types of empires or game situation.
That way you maybe able to convey for the uniniciated or even the pros very quickly under pressure what to choose without getting too distracted by having to think too hard on the choices =)
"

Just thought to add this here as part of suggestions so to speak where i havent see a seperate thread
There might be a problem of maintenance over Stellaris versions, the objectively good & bad won't remain fixed.
The other issue is assisting decision making not just display would have moral implications in MP
