Tributary?

Can someone explain how tributaries work? Do they just have an extra 30% tax paid to the suzerain? I can't find the tax/income from tributary/suzerain domain/vassal tab.

Long overdue, but the latest update has re-implemented tributaries and it should now be much more clear how they work.
