If the mod is not working, maybe there's a mod incompatibility.
If that's the case, just place this mod above all the others in the mod list.

I'm getting a ctd when trying to activate an egg sack fight in the weald. It's an 8 pounder dungeon

It is a very simple mod, I don't think this mod would cause the crash...
Are you sure you don't have another mod affecting curios?
