hi it's a review (2018)
good parts and a lot of bad

story/plot: voice acting was pretty good, straight-forward. my squadmates in the truck seemed like pretty average **OPERATORS** but i wish they hadn't all been insta-killed by that fast runner in the beginning, makes no sense in terms of military conduct why i would of just "left" my co behind in the beginning, would of at least appreciated another ai by my side at the beginning, would of probably mitigated the difficulty overall as well or at least made the experience slightly less frustrating

Hostile AI = Terminator Platoon
im naturally against complaining about difficulty but the difficulty here is artificial, ammunition was far too sparse going up against ai who had level IV armor, requiring ten rounds and sometimes a mag dump just to drop one guy and hope you weren't getting flanked in the process. the AI also would return fire FAR too quickly and FAR too accurately even when shot at -- without even taking a knee. wtf? initially i found myself wanting to fight my monitor in hand-to-hand combat rather than fight the ai, despite that, i pushed on and decided to just set up and camp at Kill House until finally the "Resist" objective was labeled as done, and had to reload way too many times.

dont listen to "Romeo,' there's absolutely no time to set up SLAM mines on the road without getting screwed over, dont even bother with the slams, just grab the backpack and the spare nades: you're gonna need them to delay the hostile encirclement as you get pinned down several times over by the aforementioned Terminator Soldiers.

i ended up grabbing a 7.62mm sniper rifle off a dead greenback after i went through just about all 5 of my mags, set up a spot and scoped out the LZ that was allegedly being swarmed by "Hellcat" or w/e, saw about two squads of aaf just shooting at a helicopter full of NATO and mysteriously nothing happening, they were far too distracted to do anything about me dumping 5 round mags of sniper fire on them even though it took me a bit (im a terrible sniper)

overall, a short yet somewhat disappointing mission but enough hope to keep me going, gonna play the next one. i think the thing to take away form this is to be patient and wait for your opportunity especially when you're in a 1v20 situation

my hypothesis is that because this mission was made four years ago, it simply wasn't updated and maintained throughout the years and the ballistics/damage values of base arma 3 have probably been changed since then. the plot's so-so, dont like the habit of everyone dying on me so i have to 1v20 terminators

There is an easy way to do this. I manage to complete it the second time. There is a machinegun you can pick up with 600 bullets and a second optical for it but you have to take out fast the specops on the mountain because you will get flanked from behind very soon. If you use the 2 wrecked vechicles on the road you can pick and shoot one enemy at a time. Be sure to pick a lot of first aids from the dead bodies (I had to use 4). I followed the road from the downed building with the dead friendlies and placed the mines fast while i was running.
