Crusader Kings III

Crusader Kings III

1.9.* Immersive mod list

window_character incompatibility
There seems to be a major conflict between the following mods using your load order:
- Core Title Inheritance
- Ethnicities and Portraits Expanded

Specifically the second one is hiding the core title tab added by the first to the Character UI.

In addition the In My Humble Opinion and Displayed Birth and Death Dates mods also touch this file.

As I want to use all four mods, I will edit my files locally to do so, but I wanted to inform you of this issue.

Actually upon further testing this did not end up working. I decided to uninstall Core Title Inheritance. Also instead of Displayed Birth/Death Dates I installed Character UI Overhaul and set it to the end of my load order; however I edited it to include EPE's performance fix with portrait_head_small_cached.

The dynasty tree mods seem to be completely unusable in this list as well.

Since i haven't played simply with CTI i didnt notice that there was a menu missing from character tab. I am pretty sure that exept this issue the mod work fine. You can core via title menu. I understand it can be a problem for some people, but it doesnt bother me. Also, because i dont have the basic knowledge to create patch for mods, I tend to accept minor issues as this one.

I haven't even notice the disparition of birth and death date... my bad

Concerning dynasty tree mod, i forgot to remove it from the list.I have already encounter this issue. Dont know what might be causing this.

Concerning your solution, dont you encounter problems? The plus icon dont seem to be appearing and some page overlap the borders. Try with sljuk for instance.

Thanks for sharing these compatibily issues with me. I think that communcation between members of a same community is the best way to improve that said community!

I'll think about alternatives. For now i think leaving the choice to the players is best. CTI add cool features and display date is also very usefull. EPE is simply a no brainer so i wouldn't think of an alternative involving the total removal of the mod.

I think the optimal way of playing with those mods is to use CTI, EPE and In my humble opinion (accepting the missing menus and birth/death dates).

Another alternative would be to use EPE and In my humble opinion (accepting to lose the CTI features and birth/death dates)

I am curious of hearing your thoughts on these propositions

Yeah I think the main issue is I want to quickly see all cored titles for each character. Part of the issue I think is that the mod might be abandoned, it hasn't been updated since March.

Which dynasty mod? I looked into the one that adds the small "find in dynasty tree" button which I would find very useful, but I could not figure out what would be breaking it. I can look into it further.

There is someone making mod patches for the dynasty mods, like this one https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2523666638

but it includes mods not present in your list.

The plus icon does show up in my playthrough when a certain number of traits are present. I am unfamiliar with what that threshold is, but it does work. I do see pages overlap borders (in the character UI and also in the prisoner UI). I believe this is just from longer character names due to a few mods in the modlist.

I experimented a bit further. I assume that there are no issues putting CTI at the bottom of the load order, and since I don't expect it to be updated, I decided to roll all the gui changes I wanted into it:

  • The "player_opinion" blockoverride from IMHO (so a vassal's opinion of their liege is still shown)
  • I removed Character UI Overhaul (changes the file way too much) and added the birth and deaths mod only, and took the changes from that
  • The cache performance fix only from EPE (none of the other things that mod does to the file)

End result: https://i.imgur.com/UWZOLQC.jpg

I'll try this out in a new playthrough and see if any non-UI issues occur.

So after further testing, i have come to this : adding CTI and mod gui compatible mod (even if i dont use STA nor TCMA) at the botom of the list work great. It even made both dynasty mods to work (enhance dynstay view and find in dynasty tree). But there is still a choice to be made.

1.If you load CTI then Mod Gui compatible mod, birth date and rename children button will appear, but the core title window won't.

2. On the contrary, if you load Mod Gui compatible then CTI, birth date and rename children wont appear but the core title window will.

I think we are holding something.

Thanks again for your follow up. I am glad we can discuss the UI issue!

There is a cooltip.gui conflict with "Locate in Dynasty Tree". I moved it after Community Title Project and it now works, but certain things break for CTP, like the names of Men at Arms in their tooltips.I will move it back and patch it forward

However, the dynasty button added to the upper right of the interaction menu is still hiding, that is a conflict between Locate in Dynasty Tree and Fullscreen Barbershop, but seeing as the other button is now restored I don't consider it necessary to fix.

I don't seem to encounter those issues in my own game?

Are the patch you are doing standalone files one could download?

No, I'm literally just editing the mods themselves. I don't know anything about preparing a separate mod. It will be a problem for me when those mods are updated.

Good. I was asking cause would have been nice to release them. Anywey, thanks for your support. Hope you enjoy the collection as a whole.

I'm trying out the MOD GUI Compatible mod, loading CTI afterwards. My CTI still has the edits I made in window_character. Additionally I edited MOD GUI to include window_army changes from Community Title Project.

I did find a bug in that MOD GUI Compatible mod. I reported it on their page.
Dnasis 3 Nov, 2021 @ 8:34pm
I also have to carry over Maintabs mod's changes into MOD GUI. The submit to authority parts of MOD GUI are breaking it.
Dave le chilleur  [developer] 9 Nov, 2021 @ 8:12am
I dont seem to have problems with maintab as i dont use submit to autority. Where is it located? Also, there is a bug between maintab and muslim enhance in the vassal tab. But since i don't want to pick between those two i accept the small UI issue.
