How to set Areas?
I can, for example, set a Base area but if I try to designate a farm area, the area just "disappears", meaning that if I set it again, the previously designated area doesnt turn up yellow (if I do the same with base area, it works).

Thanks!

Moving a conversation here from the Comments section: "My suspicion is that it's related to the group bug I mentioned below, but is your group otherwise behaving normally? I'm not able to reproduce the issue specifically in my game, but it's worth noting that the area selections are extremely finnicky. I always make sure to pause for a few seconds when I hold the mouse button down before moving to select, then again pause for a few seconds before releasing it. Let me know if you can confirm it's neither of these things and I'll debug it more deeply (also let me know what other mods you use, if any)."

Hey, I tried your proposal and I want to confirm, if I am doing it right.

What do you mean by group behaving normally? I can see myself and my other survivor I recruited. He shows up as farmer, because I told him to do some farming and he's constantly saying "Guess I am going back to farming".

So, on to setting the area:
1. Right click
2. Wait a few seconds
3.Move over to Area Selecting > The Farming/Crops Area > Set
4. Hover over "Set" for a few seconds
5. click "Set" and define the area
6. Right click again and hover back to The Farming/Crops Area
7. Now there's Set, Cancel and Clear
8. I click "Set" again

Hm, something is definitely not right. When you right click, and go to "Area Selecting > The Farming/Crops Area" the initial option should be "Select Area" not "Set." The times you want to wait are after clicking Select Area, when you initially press the left mouse button to begin dragging. Don't drag right away, just hold it down for a second, then begin to drag. Once you've finished dragging the area, wait a second again before releasing the mouse button.

I'll check tomorrow when I'm on my computer again but it has definitely been "Set" from the start.
Oh, I'm trying to do all of this while on Ed's Auto Salvage.

If you want, I can try it again on a new save with only this mod activated.

Do you know if any of those mods add items to your context menu? Also do you see any errors in the red box in the corner while doing this? Most likely some sort of mod conflict is just causing the context menu to break and you're not seeing the correct options, so you're not getting the proper commands to set up the selection state.

Only Area Selecting and Survivor Options.
What's funny is, that when I played today, "Select Area" appeared as normal.

And yes, I am getting about 2 errors every time I load the game.

I was able to set the Farming area but Food/Wood storage is still really hard to set

I've experienced that disregarding the type of area, it works the same. Click, wait, drag, release. then set. So far I've never seen npcs auto store food or take frood by themselves, same thing with weapons
