flyfish is really the only one who's particularly unbalanced for real. the others are all easy
steelheads are toast with chargers and any gun that isn't the sploosh or the clash blaster but then you should be spending your time trying to toast maybe a drizzler or a flyfish since you'll have more ink to deal with that
steel eels are also ridiculously easy. if they double up, aim for the farthest end. you need to make big circles if you're being chased around. eels can only go directly, if you get on higher ground, they have to go around. use that to your advantage. grillers are this as well, they also can only follow a straight line, so you should run in large circles/get on higher ground. Grillers in particular can easy be tricked if you can clip a wall to force them to get distracted, since most will be crowding a particular spot anyway, most have walls you can get onto to force them to do a 180 that should have somebody paying attention.
drizzlers are two parts, the missile and the drizzler itself. Longer range weapons actually have it much easier, but as long as somebody is generally hitting the missiles, times will be easier. drizzlers are better lured, then they're usually toast.
maws i don't know why you're complaining. if you wanna practice this, get in the shooting range and start throwing bombs at your feet. and then don't stop there. practice all sorts of bomb throws. they're only an issue when there's multiple of them, but then you can say that for any boss, and you can create small circles while you have ink for another bomb. practice bomb throwing when you can and maws should never irritate you. ever. it's actually scrappers that do that more for me because of how fast they turn when they notice someone, but they are not hard.
only special mode i think is really unbalanced is goldie hide and seek. the rng on that no matter how you know the map and the poor communication on how the mode should be played just renders that one unbalanced. the rest are fine imo
