External Item Description is spawning an invisible shop keeper every frame at the player, and my mod replace 1/8 of the shop keepers by villagers.
I don't know, probably a placeholder or just an entity for storing data. In EID's code, it's referred as "EID Helper entity"
I installed the mod as any other. I did have a mod bloat at that point (107 or so) but mostly cosmetic mods that wouldn't add things. Then I installed this mod here, ran it like any old other mod and all was good. I picked steve as he was the first i saw and entered a treasure room. at this point only, if anything, the active into pocket mod and Yamarshiro's room pack (or along those lines) would be active by that point. I got the apparently already seen bug of a bilion villagers spawning once i entered the first treasure room to my right and closed the game. I uninstalled the mod and wanted to rather look from a far from that point on. But once the mod was out, the problems arrised.
I started the game with the same mods i played earlier with and after the intro cutscene was promptly skipped the game crashes. and this happened after removing 2 mods, 4 mods, 10... Until i got rid of them all. With mods still active, but no mod installed i entered the game and everything worked as it should. So i tested it with a simple vanity mod and oops, the game crashed.
I am currently reinstalling the Game as I was a little out of ideas. If you have any clues on this, anyone, that would be golden.
Go to :
C:\Users\<your username>\Documents\My games\Binding of Isaac Repentance
You should see a bunch of files that looks like :
YYYYMMDD.rep_persistentgamedataX.dat
take the one on the day before you had the problem.
Then, go to
<path to steam>\Steam\userdata\119087783\250900\remote
And backup all the file just in case.
Then, remove the rep_persistentgamedataX.dat where X is the number of the save file you played on.
Paste the first YYYYMMDD.rep_persistentgamedataX.dat file into the last folder and rename it to remove the date and the dot.
If it's still don't work, try removing rerunstateX.dat.
