Misaligned Sprites/Textures Fix
Putting this here as a PSA for people who were having a similar issue as me.
If your trees are appearing several tiles away from the location you plant them, ensure that "Double-sized textures" is ENABLED/CHECKED in your Project Zomboid display settings.
