Osteer Loyalists:

The earliest known reference to Osteer dates far back as 300-400 year after the arrival of the Colonizers, where it was described as a pirate republic, living off raiding the supply routes to the continent. Ever since the breakup of this republic the society of Osteer was divided between those who could easily adapt to the changing times and get into the business of finance and trade, and those who were forced to move north to settle the land and form the capital of Osteer. However with the Mechanical Rise, the balance of power shifted more towards those living in the north, the divide between the people however did not waver. During the Uprising many troops remained loyal to the Osteer Government, but almost all of the armoured vehicles were diverted south and captured. The Loyalist troops were more in number however the supply of arms was limited and the only way for shipments to arrive was through the port of Olyster in the north, and even that froze shut during winter. Despite these hardships soon material were flown in through airships from the Far West and thanks to the strategic decisions of the members of the admiralty, the Loyalists were able the weather the storm and come out of the conflict victorious.

Cellic Union:

Cellic (pronounce "kellik") is a colloquial term for the various traders, merchants and corsairs that lived and operated in the south-east shores of Osteer. These people came from many merchant clans that were the first to start operations in the early founding of the nation and dominated the trade between Osteer and the Khremian mainland. As the pressure from the continent increased, these clans united under one banner to protect their interests. Contrary to popular belief, thanks to the immense wealth of the trader clans, the troops of the Union were well armed and despite their relatively smaller number, the ranks could be filled with mercenaries and foreign volunteers. This also meant that during the Civil War, they could get their hands on numerous armoured vehicles and other more exotic and expensive equipment despite their losses. However in the end, even with all these advantages it could not counter the sheer tactical incompetence of the Unionist general staff.
