Not working online with MP41
I mentioned it in the comments, but I'll mention here on the account of anybody knowing a fix.

Solo on mp41 allows the mod to work, however hosting an online session will not work and reverts back to the deafening violin.

Update:

For MP41 (hosting), go to steam/steamapps folder and move the specific folder after "#####" and "mods" and move the MGS Alert Sound to user/yourusername/zomboid/mods

After that is done place it under the "mod" section when hosting a server, not "workshop".

Nice, thank you for testing and coming back to post this. I imagine it'll be the same for any mod in multiplayer then... having not touched MP at all, never even considered how any of them might or might not work.
