stellar nova broken in multiplayer

I played some mods with a friend but he gets constantly the Stellar nova ready text over and over, even if we haven't defeated any boss, any idea how to solve it? We are playing mainly with calamity infernum

This also manifests with the TerraGuardians mod (those characters seem to be coded as other players, as Overhaul's dodgeroll makes them all roll, throughout the world).
