Suggestions
I'd figure a lot of people including myself would like to give suggestions to this incredible mod, so why not make a topic for it?

Anyways, my suggestion is changes to a Wall's appearance when stacked atop a block, an example with the default wooden wall could be making it looked more "Tucked in" per say... etc. with other wall types.

So I would like the platforms to become transparent when I walk under them and the pillars to become transparent when I walk behind them. That way If I build a multi story fort I can fully enjoy it :)

It would be cool to add two new platforms. A bounce pad and a net.

The bounce pad would cause players falling on it to bounce back up. Like a slimeblock in minecraft.
The recipe would use a tentacle spot.

The net would catch the player's fall, negating fall damage. The recipe could use spider silk.

Better compatibility with super walls and platforms turning invisible when under them

I would want different platfroms like a carpeted platform.

Maybe have players be like a little higher when on a platform or something then on certain angles it doesn't look like their body's covered by it? idk if that's possible lol

should be anything, as anything that would normally be placed on land can be put on water

I experimented with a lot of different sizes and thicknesses for the platforms, but 0.19 is the tallest it can be that will still allow players to step up onto it when placed on the ground, so I'm not sure if it's worth the tradeoff

There have been a lot of interesting suggestions, but the next things I plan to add will be carpeted platforms and bouncepads, and I'll also look into maybe adding water effects for blocks placed on water. That'll probably be it unless any big commonly requested features come up.

I also plan to release a block template pack so that people can create custom block texture mods, since a lot of people seemed interested in more block types.

when players are typing in chat jumping should be disabled if you could do that it'd be nice. we were playing and everytime someone was typing and had to be near something like a campfire for heat every wasd and space combo would make them jump away and freeze lol

So found something game breaking when you could travel faster with heavy objects like the "Suspicious Marble" or statues by "jumping". Sorta defeats the purpose of Beefalos and Walter. Any plans for a configuration or update for this?

Hah, kinda forgot about that. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard for me to make jumping's forward momentum slower when carrying heavy objects. I'll try and include that in the next patch or two

it would be nice if there was a configuration option to disable the "auto jump" that i'm experiencing, not just with walls but with every structure object, from ponds to trees to pieces of rubble in cave ruins...

also it seems this mod breaks Geometric Placement which is both a mod that i LOVE and cannot live without, and a mod that would work INCREDIBLY with this mod! Please find a way to make the two compatible! All of us OCD freaks would greatly appreciate it

Auto jump? Hm, that sounds like a bug to me, I don't have any sort of auto jump features.
EDIT: Ohh wait I think I know what you mean. Like when you bump into a physics object and randomly fall like 2 inches? Because the physics engine decides colliding with flat surfaces should bump you up for some reason. I've had a few ideas to fix this and I'll try and include them in the next patch

As for the Geometric Placement mod, I have looked into this a bit already, but unfortunately it might not happen. Both mods make heavy alterations to the same part of the deployment code, so either my mod has to overwrite the snapping x/z coordinates with the coordinates that include the Y axis, or the other way around.
I'm not sure how to get these two coordinates to share with each other without some heavy rewriting on both sides.
Maybe Rezecib would have a better idea on how to handle that, since he's a much better modder than me. But he might not be interested in fixing a compatibility for this one random mod.
