Left 4 Dead 2

Left 4 Dead 2

No Echo Remastered V1.01
Got lost a few times in these spots.
I hope this is enough to convey and further contextualize my first time play through. I was finding myself getting lost; running in circles around spots before I found the proper path to progress. I will try to walk through my thought process during these events.
I suppose I shall let you be the judge if I am valid, or stupid. Either way, this is what I went through.

The first map was fine. I found no problems both during my initial blind play through and my second quick run to grab media.
For the second map, I chose to take the basement / daytime route.

The first place I ran into trouble was the store on the second map. When entering it then heading to the backroom area, you can see two ways to go: You can go through the lit doorway, or up the stairs to the left.

Since it was still early on in the game, I choose to go up the stairs. The lack of lighting compared to the doorway led me to believe that these stairs would not lead to the path forward, making for a good place to look for supplies. Finding a gun cabinet only confirmed this thought. Exiting the door to the room I was meant to leave the building from: the door obscured the intended window for me to jump out of. Instead, I saw a staircase leading back down, which I took instead.

After I found myself back out on the street again, I realized I had gone the wrong way somewhere. Heading back inside, through the doorway, and up the stairs, I would see the open lit doorway which would trick me into heading through again. By this point I had been focused on trying to find the correct way, and did not realize that this was the area I had been before. Alternatively, I could see this beeing similarly confusing for someone who had gone up the staircase, only for some other player to have also gone up the darkened staircase first and have already opened this door.

I think this could be easily solved simply by having an arrow that points to the window on a wall or board or something. Or, you could have the survivor say "through this window" or something. You might only get a single survivor to make the jump, but that would be enough, as the rest would likely follow afterwards.

Further on, there is a second "store" area with a roadblock outside. I want to continue following the road, as there is area beyond the block, so seeing as last time I bypassed the roadbloack by jumping out a window, I went in looking for another.

By entering and heading to the backroom area again, you are presented with a big large staircase immediately visible, with a door on the left as well. Both of these appear to lead back to the street, so that was where I explored. Neither is the direction to go though, instead you're intended to head back under the stairs and exit the building's back door. Again, I was specifically looking for a window to go through, and this back door would have led me away from the street, so I didn't investigate it until after.

Both the left door and upstairs led me to the street. The upstairs area also had a single lit room with a medkit inside, which further incentivised me to go that way.

I only realized the back door was the correct way to go from the fact that a special infected attacked from it, which I took as a sign, as specials tend to attack from further ahead in the nav that the survivors are. (Except for the Smoker.) I suppose this could be my fault for expecting the solution to be the same as last time, but perhaps the simplest way to solve this would be to not have the stairs obscure the view of the back door when first opening the backroom door.

Lastly, on penultimate map, there was an area with tents right outside the saferoom. Initially, I saw the tent with light and supplies inside, and decided I would follow the painted white arrow afterwards. This led me back around the left side of the tent to a small building.

Exiting or otherwise moving back behind the building frames an area that seems nice to explore. It even has more lit tents to find supplies in, so I assumed I was headed in the correct direction and found myself back where I started with the first tent.

For this one, I did not ever notice the flares on the ground until I had already found the correct way to go. The floodlight pointing directly opposite to another tent was where I had to go to actually start heading towards the finale area. I think this one could be solved by having the arrow point more towards the right, or to have the red glow from the flares be more noticable. Similar to some areas on The Sacrifice for example.

This last thing is not related. I found a spot you can become stuck, forcing noclip or idle warping to escape.
On the second basement / daytime route, the first store has a display with a coffee maker inside of it.

Falling onto the coffee maker from the side of the display will cause the player to become stuck falling in place.
