Compatible with Better Stone?
I see in the code for you (wonderful) Refined Stone (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2574730501) mod lines for compatibility with the Better Stone (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=406244471) mod. I am guessing due to the nature of this mod and the Better Stone mod that they are mutually exclusive but wanted to ask anyway if you thought they should work together at all?

Refined stone only changes stone not ore and should work perfectly fine alongside Better stone (that does nothing to stone lol). And should be fine with most ore maps and custom planets.

As to TOOM and other ore maps. Better stone uses its own ore map index so is not “directly” compatibly with other ore maps or custom planets.
But, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t ‘work’.
If you put any other ore map that uses vanilla ores above Better stone in your mods list, it should override Better stones ore map index. The result is vanilla ores on planets and Better stone ores in space (as far as I can tell without actually testing that). The only vanilla change I noted was that “Iron” will drop “Dense Iron (Fe+)”.

Putting Better stone above an ore map will produce mixed results however. If the indexes line up you get an ore, if not you might get no ore. In the case of TOOM most ores are missing as it uses a lot more indexes than vanilla/Better stone.

Honestly if you want Better stone in your play on planets just use that. If you’re happy to just have Better stone in space, then you have options. I do not know of alternate ore maps for Better stone.

If you’re keen to mod the files yourself, make a copy of TOOM then look for:
PlanetGeneratorDefinitions.sbc, Pertam.sbc and Triton.sbc in your copy, and in the game files. In Better Stone also with the “Override-” prefix.
From there you just need to change “Type” to one of the better stone values. Note that “Value=” is the index that can’t be changed without changing the texture files.

Sorry for slow reply, steam didn’t notify me. I hope this is helpful to someone anyways.
