Capabilities
Pros:
-Longer range
-Higher HP
-Does not require ammo to be refilled
-Instead of rockets it shoots a laser bolt similiar to the Cow Mangler's which ignites enemies but does less damage.

Cons:
Emits a laser
Less damage
Longer build time
More damage from sappers taken

To all who complain and don't give a s*** about stats: Why won't you just shut up and allow us to share our opinions?

If it were to shoot rockets that would do as much damage as the original sentry it would be overpowered. When I'm posting stats I try to make it balanced.

sounds good. i was thinking maybe no lasers though. just faster firing speed and can detect diguised spy after a certain amount of time? like as if the things on top were detectors or vision or something?

Take note that the MG's have 3 barrels each, that sounds like slow fire.

The spy is supposed to be the engie's natural predator. If it were to be "intelligent", it would have a different look.

I think that no ammo needed is too OP, with higher HP engineer doen`t need to wory so much about the sentry.

He does have to worry because of the increased sapper damage. Maybe add a heat meter, an engie can put it down by wrenching it, it also depletes slowly. If the heat meter is at the maximum, the sentry is deactivated and has to be hit with a wrench to function again.

Screw logic.

how about it has ammo but its outo refil but it takes a while

And I'm not sure if you realize this, but every item needs stats. Otherwise, what's the point of a new weapon?

The lazers only have ammo equivalent of the bullets it fires seems like an option, because dont normal sentries have equivalent ammo?

My suggestion instead is...

Pros:
-Does not require ammo to be refilled
-Instead of rockets it shoots a laser bolt similiar to the Cow Mangler's

Cons:
-No knockback on lasers, reduced for bullets
-20% more damage vulnerability
-Longer build time

I disagree with OP because having sapper vulnerability just makes it so people HAVE to play spy, which is counter-intuitive to Valve's weapon balancing.

I don't understand why it wouldn't be the same as the normal Sentry, only it has a faster fire rate, I mean the only real difference between this and the normal sentry is that this one shoots laser and has no rockets, so up the fire rate by a bit and you lose out on rockets, seems like the logical thing to me. Also, three barrels doesn't mean slow fire, that's like saying one barrel should make it so that you fire once every 30 seconds, it makes no sense. Also lasers are projected faster than ballistics so the number of barrels wouldn't matter anyways.

i think that this will be more balanced
Pros:
-Longer range
-Does not require ammo to be refilled
-Instead of rockets it shoots a laser bolt that goes trought players but with every player penetrated it lose damage.

Cons:
At very long range lose aiming
Laser goes more SLOWLY compared with the normal rockets (like the pompson/cowmangler)
+50% Longer build time
More damage taken by ANY kind of damage(bullets , explosives , fire , sappers... ETC.)
the cowmangler´s effect of shut down sentries goes up from 4 secs to 6 secs

how about we just make it a sentry that has unlimited targeting range, but cant be upgraded to have rockets? simplicity is the father of invention, i think!
