When I first discovered this weapons addon probably more than a year ago, I had fun with it and thought it was quite interesting, but thought it was an obscure weapons addon that would likely remain as-is and not gain much more support. I also noticed a bug in which weapon aim-down-sights delay was tied to the framerate, as I played on a slow computer (and still do due to circumstance). The weapons felt fluid on 60 FPS, but it took way too long to aim down the sights on a lower framerate. I ended up putting this weapon pack back on the "Unsubscribed, but favorited" shelf because that one flaw, which I thought wouldn't get fixed, was the one blemish on this otherwise awesome weapons pack.

I saw this thing enter my recommended again, and noticed it has a history of updates throughout 2023, as well as more than one addon author. I gave it another go, and the framerate ADS bug is fixed! I tested it on a basic empty map with other addons disabled, and the results are clear: whether I'm running on 100 FPS, 30 FPS, or 10 FPS, it seems to take the exact same amount of time to fully enter an ADS state! This is excellent to me because it indicates that the writer for this addon cares about ironing out the quality and going through the effort of making changes to improve the overall stability and consistency of the addon further, even if it probably meant going through a lot of fundamental weapon code for how ADS is handled and figuring out how to properly inject concepts like delta-time, animation tweening, or an underlying tick rate to get the ADS consistent regardless of client framerate. What's more, this weapon base doesn't seem to impact my framerate very much if at all, a welcome contrast to "more advanced" but heavier weapon bases.

Thank you for not just writing, but also improving and sticking to what will now likely become a mainstay weapon pack of my Garry's Mod sandbox shenanigans!
