Personally, this mod in the current state is pretty much a waste of time, and I will tell you the reasons of why I think so, hope you take these in mind and fix them so this mode can be bearable and enjoyable, because currently it isn't.

(Sorry I will need to multipost)

1.- Like if one scorpion in the original DRM wasn't enough, try to have 7 or 8 at the same time, in the later levels it's impossible to keep going because there's no cover to hide in, yeah, try to survive with 100 hp versus 7 or 8 scorpions with almost perfect accuracy, My suggestion here is, try to have 2, 3 or maximum 4 scorpions per level to keep balance.

2.- No respawn in place? You have to rely on getting to the chapter infos to survive, as stated above, each scorpion does at least 50-65 or even more damage, try to run Guardian of Time with 7 of them scorpions behind you + all the enemies that appear, it's annoying as hell, so you die and you go back to the chapter info, getting through is impossible. (Note that I'm talking about normal, I don't even want to know how this is in serious difficulty). My suggestion here is, as there's no place to take cover you can give the player 100 health and 100 armor at the start of each chapterinfo to have a little bit of advantage to get through, and for christ sake enable respawn in place, believe me, it's freaking irritating to have only 100 hp and no respawn in place.

3.- In the first levels, especially the museum, scorpions should disappear for at least during boss battles, in the museum how do you expect to beat a scorpion with a shotgun with smaller scorpions instantly grinding you to death? It's irritating. My suggestion here is, You could make the scorpions disappear when the boss battles start OR give players better weapons so they can handle the boss at least.

4.- I think witch-brides should be removed, doesn't help if you meet one and traps you you're an easy bait for the scorpions who will kill you almost instantly, and there's no respawn in place so yep, you're going back to the last checkpoint.

5.- In the first levels player speed should be increased to give the player a fair advantage, in the museum's basement your sprinting speed isn't enough to hide of the scorpions, so you're gonna keep dying, and going back to last checkpoint, nearly impossible and really annoying.

This mod is completely unfair and annoying as of now for the player, even in levels you have all weapons unlocked, the amount of spawned scorpions makes it as annoying as in the previous levels, you should be given armor at spawn to give a little bit more of advantage.

As of now I can't recommend this mod for all the reasons specified above, but I'm sure you will hopefully look into these and try to give the player a bit of advantage so this mod becomes enjoyable.

Once the player has been given more advantage you can totally expect me to test throughout it again and give feedback, hopefully there will be something fixed.

Then again, I apologize for spamming \your mod workshop page, but steam wouldn't allow me to post a single really big message, sorry for multiposting but it was the only way to post all of this.

You don't seem to realize that this IS how the original DRM worked; There IS more than the one scorpion. You just might not think that because the video that popularized them never got any further than the first one (because he was dense and kept trying to kill it). This is the game's DRM; it's intended to make the game near unplayable.

Now, I am planning on adding a "Lite" mode that has far fewer Scorpions (it's already coded and everything), but that'll only come about when Single Player gamemodes work in the stable version of the game.
Okay so, first of all, "concerned user", what? You call me concerned? All I did was giving my points of view and suggestions to this mod, YOUR mod, if you read all throughout what I wrote you will find out all are suggestions and points of view plus why I think this mode has several flaws and how they could be fixed.

Second, why would you even make a mode that is unplayable? As you stated by yourself, this is unplayable, what's the point of having a gamemode you will die all over and over again without a single tad bit of balance for the player?

Did you even try to play Guardian of Time in coop and see how its close to unbeatable with this mode enabled? My main point goes around how this is unplayable, unbalanced, and not really interesting, or what, you find it entertaining being trapped by a witch bride's spell while being shot at the face by several arachnoids with perfect accuracy? Being sent way back in the level because there's no respawn in place and repeat until you finally get the witch bride?

I gave you my 5 cents, you're free to take them or dump them, I already did what I had to do, give my feedback, you won't take it in consideration? okay, that's pretty much your thing.

Spazmatism: are you effing serious or is this just a massive troll?
This mod was created with the intention of giving the players who bought the game the opportunity to firsthandly experience what players who illegally pirated the game had to put up with. Croteam took a really unique shot at anti-piracy measures. Of course this mod might be considered useless, because there are lots of videos showing it in action. Some folks though, might want to try it for themselves. Point taken? Good. Next time, think before you post.
Karl: I'm not a troll, of course everything I wrote in previous posts was serious and 100% legit otherwise I wouldn't have even bothered to write anything.

You don't seem to understand that what I meant is that this mode is unique in its own way, but as well as its unique it has a ton on flaws, and several options could've been added to make the mod actually enjoyable, as I said before, do you find it fun being trapped by witch brides spells in Guardian of Time with like 4 or 6 scorpions shooting at your with their perfect accuracy? Do you find it fun being shot by 9 scorpions in Into the Spiders Nest when your only weapon is a shotgun and you only spawn with 50hp? Because I don't, probably I'm wrong.

I gave my suggestions on how to make this mod enjoyable and actually fair to the player, anyone could've done the same thing in Serious Editor, slap in 10 immortal scorpions per level with an unfair amount of ammo, armor, health and call it a day.

If the mod will remain unplayable it's okay, maybe I'm just an idiot who can't seem to find the fun out of it, maybe some people will just love it, but I don't, I already gave some points on how to improve it but it seems I'm not being taken serious at all or I'm actually considered a troll. It's up to Ryason whatever happens to this mod or if it will ever get updated or not anyway.

I meant no offense when I made the title of this discussion. As well, I already told you, an easier version is planned. Until then, I'd recommend Tourist difficulty.

I see your point but I think there are tons of other mods for the game which make it harder, though still enjoyable. The sole purpose of THIS mod, though, is making the game to be not enjoyable. It is meant to be unfair. I said it before and I will say it again: this mod gives insight what people who illegally downloaded the game experienced when they played it.
