Not sure if you will want too, but it would be cool to have .ini options to edit the stacks. Idk if thats something you wanting to do with the mod but just a suggestion.

Very little point in doing that, if you want to put hundreds of ini options in your GameUserSettings then go ahead but I will not be doing that, simple reason being if you put config options in the GameUserSettings ini file there would be no reason for the mod in the first place.

I am not having a go at you just making the point, it was a valid request and thank you for it.

I'm not sure how the weight value works here but if it's possible, it would be nice to have an ini setting for the weight modifier. So that we can set it higher or lower than the current 50% weight.

I am not sure if a single entry can do this but I will look around

Heya! =)

As mentioned, the ability to configure weight of items if possible, either as a major setting (like all 80%) or individually for each item if its not too much work.

Also, you may want to add in the description that this mod is best used at the begin of a playthrough, otherwise need to re-learn engrams and re-build crafting stations.

A huge thanks for this mod!!

@ lalala - As a matter of fact I have already put that warning in the original upload if you read

"If changing from another stacking mod you WILL need to destroy any stacks you have in your game and replace them with the stacks from this mod (magic them in if need be lol), if
simply upgrading this mod stacks will be fine, some engrams have had to be altered for the
mod to work these may need to be learned again, sorry but that is the nature of the beast
I am afraid."

What more can I do to please ppl.

@Hardballking Please do not make comments here, this is for those who want stuff added to the mod, comments go in the comments section please. But I will look into crafting polymer for you.

thatch weight is increased for some reason for example previously 200 stack was 4 weight but after mod installed its 40. is there any fix for this
Bolisaris  [developer] 24 Jan, 2022 @ 11:50am
I will make a note and have a look later. Also as I told Hardballking please do not make comments here, there is a dedicated comments area for this kind of query.

NOTE I will be deleting and ignoring any comments posted in here from now on unless it is to ask me to add something!

And thatch will be back to 4 weight at next update.

Stack mod without weight reduction
Bree 21 Oct, 2022 @ 2:37pm
@GBAesthetics You can edit the stack sizes on an individual basis. This will allow you to adjust any stack sizes you aren't happy with, while leaving the defaults in place and not clogging up your settings file. Paste this into the file called Game.ini (which is located in the folderpath Steam > steamapps > Common > ARK > ShooterGame > Saved > Config > WindowsNoEditor). Where it says "<Class Name>", replace with the class name of the item you're changing the stack size of (DO NOT get rid of the quotation marks around it). You can find class names for items on the wiki, just slap "class name" in the search bar. And where it says "<n>", put in the number you want it to stack to.

ConfigOverrideItemMaxQuantity=(ItemClassString="<Class Name>",Quantity=(MaxItemQuantity=<n>, bIgnoreMultiplier=<value>))

I would like poop and fertilizer to stack, which it currently does not in this mod. Thanks in advance if you add it! (For now I've done it manually)

Edit to add: Making fertilizer stack seems to be a bad idea as crop plots only recognize the existence of one fertilizer even if it's a stack of, say, 100. This problem most likely also happens if you put a stack of poop in crop plots, but for turning poop into fertilizer the stacking does save a lot of space. I'd say if others wanted this it should be an on/off toggle in the .ini

So after trying to manually alter the stack size of some items I've found that it does not work with an item (presumably any item) that the mod already changes the stack size of. I was able to modify the stack size for Bio Oil (an item added by Kraken's Better Dinos) and poop (which doesn't normally stack), but trying to increase jerky stack size from 50 to 100 did not work. As with some other items that this mod also adjusts. So here are a few more that might need attention:

- Aberration's mushrooms only stack to 500 and a full stack is ridiculously heavy. If the weight could be reduced and they could stack to 5k like berries that would be nice.

- Crystal is still very heavy for some reason.

- Organic Polymer is easy to accumulate in large amounts and also needed for crafting in large amounts, so it'd be nice if it stacked to 5k instead of 1k. I was unable to adjust this myself.
