Could we possibly get a shortcut variant that skips over the "Wet bricks" step, crafting clay(+other material) into bricks directly?

as a processing building? there will be a factory as modinteraction patch with Vanilla Factions Expanded - Mechanoids. or something like porcelain or hardened ceramic in the ceramics workbench?

Rather than eliminating the clay pit when there is Fertile field, why not rebalancing it? I did a patch to add it back, but with the recipes only giving 5 clay or sand for 2000 work

i think the idea in the original mod was, you get clay and sand from terraforming the ground and grinding dirt. and also the other way around. getting dirt this easy feels a bit like cheating. fertilizing my first field is like an achievement.

a quarry like pit with digging up dirt, sand, clay and small rock would be nice, but i am not able to create it.

Mineable clay (with deep drill) and this new sand trap thing is a idea to ease early and mid-game a bit.

Without FF 1.1 sand and clay lose thier importance.

i would love to create a poll to see what all of you think about it.
The fact is that with mods like Glass+Light, sand becomes essential for all lights, So there must be a way to obtain it besides turning tiles into barren ones (which happens if you simply obtain it through terraforming, and you can't even build on them). The clay pit works exactly like a quarry, all it needs is some rebalance. 5 clay/sand for 2000 works is a good balance.

lets test it. if i need to ban the pit again, it will give red errors one time but shouldn't brake anything.

fibrous hay is add by zars core, that might be able to replace fiber.

fibrous hay will now be able to craft mudbricks out of. timber frame walls are not stuffible, so i didn't replace this recipe in this easy way.
i personally don't use this mod. so you have to tell me, if there is still someting needs patching.

I don't suppose we could use the fecal sludge or bio-solids from Dub's Bad Hygiene to make a form of primitive brick? I believe cow dung and such used to be an ingredient for that kind of thing and insulation back in the day. Might be considered more new content than compatibility, but would make for an amusing and novel Rimworld experience! And many thanks for the awesome mod updates

i also like this idea for a remote tribe game and hoped the manure mod would update. but i didn't do anything yet, because it isn't really Ceramics anymore. maybe a standalone or addon mod may be the best way to do it.
right now i got some personal trouble and help a team to create a new mod. so i can't start tomorrow... i will take a look, when i find some time to breathe.
It's fun to expand this game and do something with this great mod community.

Oh wow, I had no idea there was already a manure mod along those lines, spiffy! Hope things smooth out for ya and will look forward to the next stuff you put together.

Sorry, I haven't advertised the little mod yet. but Manure Bricks VEF is out and (for now needs fecal sludge from Dubs Bad Hygiene.
the dried Manure bricks are also useable for fuel, LWM's Fuel Filter is ne nice way to manage that.

I noticed that with processor framework the brick kiln has a safe temperature range of between 1 and 32c it seems weird. Not to mention that it's incredibly infuriating when bricks that are literally baking in fire are being spoiled by ambient temperature over 40 C. Is it possible for you to patch this or if not can you let me know where i can manually edit the values?

should be fixed now. idk how it got deleted while coping the recipe patch.

The wet porcelain blocks should be able to be crafted at a nonpowered workbench. I'm doing a medieval playthrough and I can build a kiln for it but I can't make the blocks to put into the kiln. Would just be an added benefit on low tech playthroughs
