The conditions for peace treaties, state edicts and diplomatic actions listed here are purely the ones needed for them to show up in the UI, whether there are additional requirements to select them will be shown in-game.

Peace Treaties

Demilitarize Borders

Conditions for Visibility:
  • any province of the loser has a fort and is in an area that borders a province of the winner

Effects:
  • all provinces with a fort, which are owned by the loser and lie in an area that neighbors the winner's provinces, will lose the fort as well as 1 base manpower.
  • the effect is executed 1 day after the peace deal is signed, to make sure it uses the new borders (make sure to take your province changes in the peace deal into account tho, so that the target after the deal is made still owns matching provinces)

Demand Administrative/Diplomatic/Military Aides

Conditions for Visibility:
  • loser's ruler has at least 3 ADM/DIP/MIL
  • winner's ruler has less than 6 ADM/DIP/MIL
  • winner's ruler has not yet received Administrative/Diplomatic/Military Aides (a ruler can get each once)

Effects:
  • loser's ruler loses 1 ADM/DIP/MIL
  • winner's ruler gains 1 ADM/DIP/MIL

Enforced Embargo

Conditions for Visibility:
  • loser is winner's rival
  • winner has less than 100% mercantilism
  • loser has at least 3% mercantilism
  • the used casus belli is not a trade war

Effects:
  • loser loses 3% mercantilism
  • winner gains 3% mercantilism

Enforced Marriage

Conditions for Visibility:
  • winner and loser are either a monarchy, tribe, signoria, dutch republic or use the commander king or admiral king reform

Effects:
  • winner and loser enter a royal marriage

Lift Excommunication

Conditions for Visibility:
  • winner declared war on the loser with the "Question Papal Authority" casus belli
  • winner is Catholic
  • winner is excommunicated
  • loser is Catholic
  • loser is Curia Controller

Effects:
  • winner's excommunication is lifted

Ban Slavery

Conditions for Visibility:
  • winner declared war on the loser with the "Ban Slavery" casus belli
  • winner has abolished slavery voluntarily
  • loser is free or a tributary style subject
  • loser has not yet abolished slavery
  • loser has at least 1 province producing slaves or at least one of their colonial subjects has at leats 1 province producing slaves and not yet abolished slavery

Effects:
  • loser abolishes slavery (same effects as the decision)
  • winner gains 10 of each monarch power per slave producing province owned by the loser or the loser's colonial nations

Sacrifice Ruler

Conditions for Visibility:
  • El Dorado DLC is active
  • winner uses Doom
  • loser has no regency
  • loser is not the unior partner in a personal union
  • loser's ruler has at least a skill of 1 in one category

Effects:
  • loser's ruler dies
  • winner loses doom equal to the sum of the loser's ruler's skills (so at max 18, for a 6 6 6 ruler)

Unequal Treaty

Conditions for Visibility:
  • winner and loser have their capital on different continents
  • loser owns a coastal province in their home trade node

Effects:
  • winner gains 5 trade power for 10 years in the loser's home trade node for each coastal province in that trade node owned by the loser

Protect Religious Bretheren

Conditions for Visibility:
  • winner declared war on the loser with the "Protect Our Religious Bretheren" casus belli
  • winner and loser are in the same religion group
  • winner has a different religion than the loser
  • loser owns at least 1 province of the winner's religion

Effects:
  • loser gains -100% missionary strength vs heretics and +2 tolerance of heretics for 10 years

Destabilize Nation

Conditions for Visibility:
  • loser is winner's rival

Effects:
  • winner gains 15 power projection
  • loser loses 2 stability
  • loser loses 100 of each monarch power

Force Knowledge Sharing

Conditions for Visibility:
  • winner is lacking institutions
  • loser has embraced at least one more institution than the winner

Effects:
  • winner gains 25 support for the oldest still by them not yet embraced institution in their capital area

Fleet Disarmament

Conditions for Visibility:
  • loser has at least 10 ships

Effects:
  • loser gains 2.5 war exhaustion and gets naval force limit -50.0% and ship cost +10.0% for 10 years

Spread the True Faith

Conditions for Visibility:
  • current age is Age of Reformation
  • winner's religion is either Protestant, Reformed, Hussite or Anglican
  • winner has a different religion than the loser
  • loser owns at least 2 provinces
  • loser's capital is in Europe, was not target of this peace treaty within the last 25 years, is not a Restricted Center of Reformation, is not a reformation center, is not Rome, is not an island, is not expelling minorities, has at least 10 development and is neither in the same area as nor borders a reformation center
  • there are less than 1 Restricted Centers of Reformation of the winner's religion in the world

Effects:
  • the loser's capital is converted to the winner's religion and gains a Restricted Center of Reformation
    • the province will not be manually convertible for that time
    • every 6 months a close province will be converted to the specific religion via event, prioritizing the provinces owned by the owner of the Restricted Center of Reformation

Army Disarmament

Conditions for Visibility:
  • loser has at least 10 units

Effects:
  • loser gains 2.5 war exhaustion and gets land force limit -33.0% and regiment cost +10.0% for 10 years

Force Seppuku

Conditions for Visibility:
  • winner is in the Japanese culture group
  • loser is in the Japanese culture group
  • winner is defender in the war

Effects:
  • the loser's ruler dies
  • the winner gains 3 times the loser's ruler's skill in monarch power (so a 6 6 6 ruler will give 18 ADM, 18 DIP and 18 MIL power)

Demand Slave Soldiers

Conditions for Visibility:
  • winner has Ottoman or Mamluk government or is Rome or is revolutionary or native or a tribe or has the military dictatorship, battle pope or pirate republic reform
  • loser has at least a max manpower of 1,000

Effects:
  • loser gives 10.0% of their maximal manpower to the winner
  • winner loses 5 army tradition

Countries with the Ottoman or Mamluk government get reduced war score cost.

Abduct Cardinal

Conditions for Visibility:
  • winner is Catholic
  • winner has less than 7 cardinals
  • loser is Catholic
  • loser has at least 1 cardinal
  • winner owns at least 1 Catholic province that does not have a cardinal

Effects:
  • loser loses 1 cardinal in a random owned province
  • winner gains 1 cardinal in a random owned province

Abduct Administrative/Diplomatic/Military Advisor

Conditions for Visibility:
  • loser has employed any vanilla advisor

Effects:
  • loser loses their administrative/diplomatic/military advisor
  • winner gains an advisor of the respective type and skill, following the loser's religion and culture, which is 33.0% cheaper to employ

Seize Mercantilism

Conditions for Visibility:
  • winner has less than 100% mercantilism
  • loser has at least 5% mercantilism
  • used casus belli is a trade war

Effects:
  • loser loses 5% mercantilism
  • winner gains 5% mercantilism

Claim Cultural Hegemony

Conditions for Visibility:
  • winner declared war on the loser with the "Claim Cultural Hegemony" casus belli
  • winner is not a subject
  • winner has not claimed a Cultural Hegemony
  • loser has claimed a Cultural Hegemony

Effects:
  • loser loses the Cultural Hegemony
  • winner gains the Cultural Hegemony

Give up Cultural Hegemony

Conditions for Visibility:
  • loser has claimed a Cultural Hegemony
  • winner is not in the same culture group as the one the loser has claimed Cultural Hegemony for

Effects:
  • loser loses the Cultural Hegemony and cannot reclaim it for 20 years

Force Administrative/Diplomatic/Military Technology Sharing

Conditions for Visibility:
  • winner and loser are both war leaders in the war
  • winner is at least one Administrative/Diplomatic/Military Technology behind the loser

Effects:
  • winner gains 1 Administrative/Diplomatic/Military Technology level

Natives gain a discount on the war score cost against non-natives.

Share Maps of Africa/Asia/Europe/North America/Oceania/South America/The New World

Conditions for Visibility:
  • loser has discovered at least one province on the specific continent that the winner has not discovered
  • for North America, South America, Oceania and The New World:
    • either:
      • winner has its capital on the specific continent
      • loser does not have its capital on the specific continent
      • loser is a Colonial Nation
      • loser is a former Colonial Nation

Effects:
  • winner discovers all provinces on the specific continent that the loser has discovered

Divorce of our Consort

Conditions for Visibility:
  • Rights of Man DLC is active
  • winner has a consort
  • origin country of the winner's consort is the loser

Effects:
  • winner's consort gets removed
  • if winner and loser have a royal marriage, the marriage is broken

Divorce of their Consort

Conditions for Visibility:
  • Rights of Man DLC is active
  • loser has a consort
  • origin country of the loser's consort is the winner

Effects:

Economic Supremacy

Conditions for Visibility:
  • Emperor DLC is active
  • war was declared with the "Economic Hegemony" casus belli

Effects:
  • winner gains 25 power projection
  • loser gains +3 interest per annum, +33% advisor cost, -50% national tax modifier, -25% production efficiency, -25% global trade power and -25% global goods produced for 10 years

Seize Fleets

Conditions for Visibility:
  • Emperor DLC is active
  • war was declared with the "Naval Hegemony" casus belli

Effects:
  • all heavy ships, light ships and galleys of the loser are transfered to the winner

Military Supremacy

Conditions for Visibility:
  • Emperor DLC is active
  • war was declared with the "Military Hegemony" casus belli

Effects:
  • winner gains 25 power projection
  • loser -25.0% gains manpower, -25.0% manpower recovery speed, -10.0% army morale, -0.50 yearly army tradition, +25.0% shock damage received, +25.0% fire damage received, +50.0% mercenary maintenance cost for 10 years

Strengthen the Mandate

Conditions for Visibility:
  • Mandate of Heaven DLC is active
  • winner is the Emperor of China
  • winner has less than 100 Imperial Mandate
  • either:
    • loser declared war on the winner with the "Take Mandate of Heaven" casus belli
    • winner declared war on the loser with the "Force Tributary State" casus belli
    • winner declared war on the loser with the "Unify China" casus belli

Effects:
  • winner gains 5 Imperial Mandate

Crush the Mandate

Conditions for Visibility:
  • Mandate of Heaven DLC is active
  • loser is the Emperor of China
  • loser has at least 1 Imperial Mandate

Effects:
  • loser's Imperial Mandate is set to 0

The war score cost roughly scales with the amount of Imperial Mandate the loser has, in 10 stages of 10% each from 10% to 100%.

Claim Defender of Faith

Conditions for Visibility:
  • winner is not a subject
  • winner has the same religion as the loser
  • winner is not the Defender of Faith
  • loser is the Defender of Faith

Effects:
  • loser stops being the Defender of Faith
  • winner becomes the Defender of Faith
  • if winner is excommunicated, he stops being excommunicated

Host next Imperial Diet

Conditions for Visibility:
  • Holy Roman Empire Expanded is active
  • winner is not Emperor of the HRE
  • winner is a member of the HRE
  • loser is the Emperor of the HRE
  • is not the guaranteed host of the next Imperial Diet
  • no other country is the guaranteed host of the next Imperial Diet

Effects:
  • opinion of other HRE members of the winner is changed by -20
  • when the next imperial diet is held, the winner will be the host and thus can pick the topic

Plunder Curia Coffers

Conditions for Visibility:
  • Emperor DLC is active
  • Papacy is active
  • loser is the Papal State
  • loser is Catholic
  • curia coffers have at least 300 ducats stored

Effects:
  • if there are at least 5000 ducats in the curia coffers:
    • winner gains 1500 ducats and 0.30 inflation
    • if winner is Catholic, not excommunicated and doesn't have selected the Papal State as rival, winner loses 50 Papal Influence
    • curia coffers lose 2000 ducats
  • if there are between 2000 and 5000 ducats in the curia coffers:
    • winner gains 1000 ducats and 0.20 inflation
    • if winner is Catholic, not excommunicated and doesn't have selected the Papal State as rival, winner loses 35 Papal Influence
    • curia coffers lose 1500 ducats
  • if there are between 1000 and 2000 ducats in the curia coffers:

The war score cost differs from the money gained. The possible war score costs are 10, 20, 25 and 30 for non-Catholics or Catholics that are excommunicated or have selected the Papal State as rival. The war score cost for the other Catholics are 20, 30, 40 and 50. In that case the winner will also suffer AE from this treaty.

  • loser is Papal State

  • loser's ruler is not an Antipope installed by the winner
  • Papacy Mechanic is active
  • either:

    • neither "Rights of Man" nor "Emperor" DLC is active and winner is among the 8 highest developed countries in the world
  • winner has at least 300 total development (including development of non-sovereign subjects)
  • either:
    • Holy Roman Empire Expanded is not active
    • winner is not the Emperor of the HRE or Protestant is enabled

Effects:
  • loser gains a new ruler of winner's culture with a weak claim, who is between 60 and 80 years old
  • mutual opinion of winner and loser change by +25
  • opinion of other Catholic countries with winner change by -25
  • loser gains yearly devotion -0.25 and average monarch lifespan -10% until the death of the new ruler
  • winner gains diplomatic reputation -2 until the death of the current ruler
  • winner becomes curia controller

Transfer Monument

Conditions for Visibility:
  • winner declared war on the loser with the "Acquire Monument" casus belli
  • one of the following monuments is owned by the loser or one of the loser's non-tributary subjects:
    • Stonhenge

    • Inukshuk
    • Moai (not available with Extended Timeline)

Effects:
  • the specific monument is moved to one of the winner's provinces that fulfills the monument's requirements, the capital is prioritized if possible

Dynastic Legitimization

Conditions for Visibility:
  • current age is Age of Discovery or Age of Reformation or a medieval age from Extended Timeline
  • winner and loser are monarchies and share the same dynasty
  • winner has less than 100 legitimacy

Effects:
  • the winner gains 25 legitimacy

Delegitimize Dynastic Branch

Conditions for Visibility:
  • current age is Age of Discovery or Age of Reformation or a medieval age from Extended Timeline
  • winner and loser are monarchies and share the same dynasty
  • loser has at least 1 legitimacy

Effects:
  • the loser loses 50 legitimacy
  • if the loser has an heir, the heir claim is reduced by 33

Stop Slave Raids

Conditions for Visibility:
  • winner declared war on the loser with the "Stop Slave Raids" casus belli

Effects:
  • all coastal provinces of the winner that are in slave raid range of the loser gain a modifier for 30 years that makes it impossible to raid the province

Liberate the Holy See

Conditions for Visibility:
  • winner declared war on the loser with the "Liberate the Holy See" casus belli
  • winner is Catholic
  • winner is not the Papal States or its overlord
  • loser owns Rome (directly or by subject)
  • loser is not Papal States

Effects:
  • Rome is ceded to the Papal States
  • loser and the Papal States gain a 5 year truce
  • winner gains 25, 35 or 50 Papal Influence (depending on whether the loser is Catholic, of a Heretic or of a Heathen faith)
  • the Papal States' opinion of the winner is changed by 100

Join Trade League

Conditions for Visibility:
  • Mare Nostrum DLC is active
  • winner is leader of a trade league
  • loser is not in any trade league

Effects:
  • loser joins the trade league of the winner
  • loser's opinion of the winner is changed by +30 (the loser may leave the league at any point, but the opinion bonus should prevent AI from doing so rather quickly)
  • the effect is executed 1 day after the peace deal is signed, because joining the trade league of a war enemy is not possible

Raid Splendid Court

  • is defender of faith
  • is in the same religion group as the target
  • has a different religion than the target
  • is a neighbor of the target or has a border distance of less than 500 and is a human player
  • target owns at least 1 province of our religion

Effects:
  • unlocks "Spread the True Faith" peace offer

Liberation

Conditions:
  • either:
    • is a great power and target is a great power and either is a human player or neighbors the target, is a rival of the target, has the target as a rival or the target has at least 20 AE on us
    • has its capital in the same region as the target and target has more than 30 AE on us (meaning they have caused more than 30 AE to us)

Effects:
  • disallows province annexation, but gives a discount on releasing nations, releasing vassals, returning cores and revoking cores

Claim Cultural Hegemony

Conditions:
  • is not a subject
  • has no truce with the target
  • was not forced to give up Cultural Hegemony within the last 20 years
  • target has claimed a Cultural Hegemony
  • is in the same culture group that the target has claimed Cultural Hegemony for
  • owns at least 1 province with a culture in the primary culture's culture group
  • either:
    • at least 50 total development
    • at least 25% of the target's total development

Effects:
  • unlocks "Claim Cultural Hegemony" peace offer
  • gives a discount on annexing provinces of the primary culture's culture group

Intervene in Independence War

Conditions:
  • is not a subject
  • has selected the target as rival
  • target is not a subject
  • any country is not at war with us and is the war leader in the attacking side in an independence war against the target

Effects:
  • gives a discount on "Destabilize Nation", "Army Disarmament", "Humiliate", "Demand Slave Soldiers", "Demilitarize Borders" and war reparations
  • gives access to "Show Strength" peace offer

Economic Hegemony

Conditions:
  • Emperor DLC is active
  • is the Economic Hegemon
  • has a Hegemon Strength of at least 25%
  • the target is a great power
  • the target has a monthly income of at least 300 ducats
  • the target is not bankrupt

Effects:
  • unlocks the "Economic Supremacy" and "Show Strength" peace offers
  • gives a discount on "Unequal Treaty", "Demand Administrative Aides", "Transfer Tradepower", "Abduct Administrative Advisor" and war reparations
  • the unlocks and discounts apply to both war leaders in the war

Naval Hegemony

Conditions:
  • Emperor DLC is active
  • is the Naval Hegemon
  • has a Hegemon Strength of at least 25%
  • the target is a great power
  • the target has at least 100 ships (without Transports)

Effects:
  • unlocks the "Seize Fleets" and "Show Strength" peace offers
  • gives a discount on "Fleet Disarmament", "Demand Diplomatic Aides" and "Abduct Diplomatic Advisor"
  • the unlocks and discounts apply to both war leaders in the war

Military Hegemony

Conditions:
  • Emperor DLC is active
  • is the Military Hegemon
  • has a Hegemon Strength of at least 25%
  • the target is a great power
  • the target has at least 300 land units

Effects:
  • unlocks the "Show Strength" peace offer
  • gives a discount on "Army Disarmament", "Demand Slave Soldiers", "Demilitarize Borders", "Demand Military Aides", "Destabilize Nation" and "Abduct Military Advisor"
  • the unlocks and discounts apply to both war leaders in the war

Crush the Coalition

Conditions:
  • is not in a coalition war
  • target is the leader of the coalition against us
  • target is in a coalition with at least 3 members
  • target is not revolutionary

Effects:
  • unlocks the "Show Strength" peace offer
  • gives a discount on all provinces, "Army Disarmament", "Destabilize Nation", "Fleet Disarmament", releasing nations, releasing vassals, revoking cores, returning cores and concede defeat
  • for the defender the discounts are exactly the same as for a coalition war
  • the AI peace desire is lowered, just like for coalition wars

Border Friction

Conditions:
  • the Casus Belli is only granted via the "Create Border Friction" diplomatic action
  • is a neighbor of the target
  • is independent or a tributary style subject
  • target is independent or a tributary style subject
  • is not the overlord of the target
  • is not a subject of the target

Effects:
  • only allows to conquer border provinces
  • gives a small discount on war score cost and aggressive expansion for taking border provinces as well as the "Demilitarize Borders" peace offer

Acquire Monument

Conditions:
  • Leviathan DLC is active
  • is independent or a tributary type subject
  • either:
    • neighbors the target
    • has a border distance of less than 100
    • neighbors target's overlord and the target is a non-tributary type subject
    • has a border distance of less than 100 to the target's overlord and the target is a non-tributary type subject
  • the target owns one of the following monuments and we would fulfill the monument's requirements, if moved to any of our provinces:
    • Stonhenge
    • Buddha Statues (not available with Extended Timeline)
    • Gomateshwara Statue (not available with Extended Timeline)
    • Inukshuk
    • Moai (not available with Extended Timeline)

Effects:
  • unlocks the "Transfer Monument" peace offer

Should you have a mod active that makes these monuments unmoveable, the treaty will not work. If you have a mod active that makes other monuments moveable, those will not be available to be moved with this casus belli.

Stop Slave Raids

Conditions:
  • the target has slave raided one of our provinces

Effects:
  • unlocks the "Stop Slave Raids" peace offer
  • gives a discount on war score cost for the "Fleet Disarmament" peace offer

Proselytize the Heathens

Conditions:
  • is independent or a tributary type subject
  • is either the Defender of Faith, the Curia Controller or is a theocracy and neither Christian nor Muslim
  • does not have the "The Global Crusade" reform
  • it's not the Classical Age, Late Classical Age or Age of Migrations (early ages of Extended Timeline)
  • is in a different religion group than the target
  • the target is independent or a tributary type subject
  • the target is not the Papal State
  • the cost to force convert the target is smaller than or equal to 100% War Score Cost
  • is either a human player or has its capital on the same continent as the target or is either Christian or Muslim and the target has its capital outside of the Americas
  • either has completed the Religious Ideas or has either the reform "Feudal Theocracy", "Crusader Order", "Crusading Empire", "Holy Horde", "Kingdom of God" or "Magister Militum Dei" or Extended Timeline is active and has completed Early Religious Ideas and has a worse ADM Technology than 50

  • target is a Personal Union
  • is not at war with the target
  • target's overlord is not a subject nation
  • target's overlord can have Personal Unions
  • target's overlord is not at war with us
  • target is a Personal Union under their current overlord for less than 15 years

Effects:
  • if target accepts:
    • mutual opinion of us and the target change by +100
    • start a succession war over the target (we declare war against the target's overlord, target joins enemy side and their capital will be the war goal)
    • reduces the spy network in the target's overlord by 90
  • if target declines:
    • mutual opinion of us and the target change by -50
    • lose 20 prestige
