Mod Compatibility
Any mods that add faction traits should be compatible with ESG.
We are confirmed to be compatible with the following mods:

  • Enhanced Space 2
  • Terraform Away
  • Planet Size Improvements
  • Artificial Planets / Artificial Planets Alternative
  • BattleMod
  • More Star Names
  • Ship Role Icons
  • Resource Cap 9999
  • More Anomalies
  • Better AI Empires

If any of these are no longer compatible, or a mod not on this list breaks, please report it here. I'll update this list and put a timestamp each time I do. If a mod doesn't appear to work, try loading this mod last.

I did a Steam Workshop search for the above compatible mods, using the “Sort by Relevance” filter, and I was not able to locate all of the mods:

Additional Collections = Additional Collections
New Governments and Laws = New Governments and Laws
*Combat Path Rework = CPR: Combat Path Rework – Battleline ?
*Flotilla Path Rework = Flotillas Pathing Rework?
The Heroes of Endless Space Minor Factions = The Heroes of Endless Space Plus Minor Faction Heros?

*=Seems like both of these mods might be incompatible with each other, as they overwrite files.

Hello, I played a couple of hours with 1.5 and the mod that fixes the Dark Matter uncolonizable planets bug with no problems so far. The quest did show up and after completion the systems were colonizable.

I used “Death without a corpse quest fix” the icon is a Fantasia Mickey

@Giorgio76 oops, I believe the mod is "Populace Control", not "Population Control", and "Improved Planetary Specializations" seems to be taken off the workshop, but several people have copies of it still.

@leonardonabreu @Danik882010 ESG fixes the uncolonizeable planet bug already, you don't need that mod.

'Populace Control' isn't compatible for me, i have tried to run only ESG and Populace Control.
and id like to add that some or all trait related stuff seem to be compatible, at least 'Endless Traits' is.

Are you loading Populace Control before or after ESG? ESG should be loaded afterwards. I've played with this mod recently, so I know it works.

Excuse me, I'm new here, I read your "installation guide" as well and it says that some aspects of the mod require the vaulters dlc,which I do not (yet) own. Does that mean that installing the mod via steam workshop will cause a crash, or that parts of the mod will simply be ineffective? Is the mod compatible with older savegames? Thank you

If you do not own the appropriate DLC, the content in question will simply not do anything. And the mod is not compatible with older save games, it won't let you load them so there is not even a worry of corrupting them.
