Yeah because of HDR you need to use mat_specular 0

You need to type mat_specular 0 in console
Remove HDR, map doesn't look like that in original Half-Life 2, also the button hitboxes for the cell doors are too large, they should match the collision mesh of the button so players or NPCs dont get stuck on them;

simply disabling the collision of the prop_dynamic and stuffing the button in there would suffice.

Z-Fighting issues have been fixed in the new version as for the buttons, source doesn't allow me to no collide them in hammer.
pretty sure theres a keyvalue checkbox for solidity

this map seems to somehow keep crashing gmod, I don't know how. What is the best way I could give information about these crashes?

i would suggest making some of the lights (such as the ones from the windows) less bright, at times they can be blinding
