Planned future expansions. Which might be consolidated with this mod either as sub mods or as one big mod. Some of these traits will be reversible, meaning you can gain and lose the trait. I aim to make most of the options configurable.

I have most of them planned out. The balancing and tweaking of values will take the most time.

The difference between this and Dynamic Traits is that this will depend on the player's actions, instead of different traits. For example, you have a chance to lose hearing. You have a chance to become a pacifist. You have a chance to become a fast reader if you consume a lot of books, magazines, news papers etc.

Might be good to get some feedback and suggestions.

Any reason why Unlucky would affect the chance to gain Desensitized? Your bravery doesn't have anything to do with loot chance, which is what Unlucky negatively affects. Plenty of brave people are unlucky irl and in media.

I just believe that unlucky/lucky should affect RNG in a way. I'll probably make it toggle-able from the sandbox options at most.

Could you possibly add an option for the number of zombies in your proximity affecting whether desensitized is active or not(after you've acquired it already)? Reason being a horde(would also be nice if the number was configurable) of zombies should still be scary in my opinion.

Should it be after xxx Kills gain traits 'Brave' and after xxxx kills going to be 'Desensitized'

Nice mods anyway sir.

Yep, that is planned for further expansion on a larger (probably seperate) mod that incorporates other passive traits, both negative and positive.

Maybe consider Veterans as a positive Occupation.

Veteran gives you the trait outright and makes this mod useless. The point of this mod is to get the desensitized trait without having to use the veteran occupation.

Hey this mod sounds cool, but for certain characters where you want them to not gain desensitized (without changing settings) for rp or other reasons like adrenaline junkie, maybe you could add a little yes/no option when the chance succeeds, and have a little flavor text like "You grow more insensitive by the day, you struggle between the choice of getting used to this awful situation or trying to retain your sense of normalcy" "Accept, Refuse

I have seen that panicking is a value for every players, that goes from 0 to whatever..
This would be great that the mod progressively reduces the panicking multiplier and then after a certain treshold of zombies killed, the player becomes desensitized.
This would be way more organic instead of having a switch panicked/desensitized :SBpenguin:

Another vote for opting-out for individual characters. Adrenaline Junkie builds get broken by this.

Maybe ModOptions integration to let players opt-out before earning it?
Maybe like DestroKind said, a yes/no prompt to let players opt-in or out at the time they earn it?
Maybe a prompt only for characters that do have the Adrenaline Junkie perk?

I'll see what I can do about a prompt. At the very least, I'll add a checkbox that if ticked, people with adrenaline junkie won't be affected.

Hey here's an idea: what if instead of the trait simply appearing, your character would slowly progress in bravery? For example, if you started out with no panic-altering traits, you would become brave first and then desensitized later on after more kills. If you started with cowardly, then that trait would be removed, you would gain brave later, and after enough time and kills you would finally become desensitized.

A suggestion by another user and me:

Can you make support for More Traits?

Some traits like Fearful does not go away if I get Desensitized for example

Perhaps adding some kind of buff to the veterans to match.
Like since their already combat veterans, maybe they gain something while racking up the kills equally.. y'know to compensate for the veteran high cost with smiliar outcome.

I love the mod thou, while i am generally playing the veteran myself, it makes sense.

Maybe make it so the veteran got it permantently, but if people stop fighting zombies they may lose the trait over time or something?
